On the top back side of brake pedal there is a brake light switch. it maybe just sticking or its out of adjustment. the brake pedal arm hits this switch everytime brakes are applied to activate the stop lights. have a good day !! if it just sticks you may be able to free it up.

I have a 2005 Chrysler town and country. I went to put my foot on the brake to put it into drive and my speedometer gas and everything went blank and the park drive reverse neutral and all that went out...

I would pull the rear brake light bulbs and top 3rd brake light wire first to check for a shorted bulb.Do you have trailer wiring? That can be a source of shorts too.Next would be a "short tester" be used on the brake light wiring.

Adding transmission fluid to my 2001 Lincoln LS

Have the car on, in park, emergency brake on. Under the hood, red dip stick. From line to line should be 1qt. This is best done when the cars warm. Add until the 2nd line. Get in your car, hold the brake, slowly put it in reverse, neutral, drive, 3,2,1 then 2,3, drive, neutral, reverse, park. Repeat a couple times to move the oil around, and you're good to go.

Antifreeze Leak & difficulty reversing on 2002 Dodge Caravan

you prolly have a bad rad cap. does your overflow stay full ? so it vents while you drive only and you may never see the drips

well the rear issue may be a sticking e brake cable and or pad do you use the ebrake ? if not apply the parking brake and drive it around the block to burn off any rust there may be to help it stick( don't burn them up just clean them up)
