I'd remove it for the sole reason of corrosion.Anti corrosion fluid is meant to be in there and you have an alchohol based product.Go for the save bet and change it.
It wont hurt in the short term
Hope this helps

I had an accident and something put a hole in my radiator, now its leaking red fluid and i dont know if it was trans fluid or antifreeze any advice on the system would help

depending on the make of car, some have a red antifreeze additive
put your finger in it and if it is slipper then it will be transmission oil
however the oil cooler for the transmission is in side one of the tanks ,unless the hole is in a tank then I would think that the fluid is coolant, check radiator level at the cap and if you need water then it will be the radiator coolant
check the transmission oil on the stick and if it is bright red or tan colour then the damage will be in the cooling system as water in oil tends to pink or grey

How do you put fluid in the transmission of an 05 explorer? accidently drained it instead of the oil for the engine.

The same place you drained it.There is a small torx screw in the center of the large plug that is used for filling the transmission. You will need to pump fluid into the small hole.To check the fluid the engine must be idling in park and the transmission should be 100 degrees (warm to touch)but not hot.Fluid should stream slightly from the small hole when full with trans warm and engine idling.Vehicle must be level.Good Luck!

Accidently put a small amount about a cup full of windshield wiper fluid in an already pretty full g12 reservoir of my 2003 Audi A6.Have not started the car yet.Do I have to get it fushed or will it be...

I know it doesn't sound like much, but, that is a very nice car that you have, and there are many sensors that could be damaged by the amonia in the washer fluid. This is what I would do.
You don't need to flush the whole cooling system, but, you want to try and empty out the coolant reservoir. You, or some can just pull the hose of the bottom of the reservoir and let it drain, or, some people might use something like a turkey baster to draw the fluid out of the top.

It may not hurt anything, but, I wouldn't want to take a chance unless I absolutely had to.

Good luck!

How do I fix my windshield wipers they are frozen in the up position?

Try some gas line antifreeze or lock De-icer and then use Fluid Film it won't freeze like WD-40 will.

I have a a pick-up B-3000 extend cab and the rear door are stuck from the button. How can opens these doors?

  • If it's simply the car door lock that's frozen, try heating your car key with a lighter and inserting it into the lock. The heat from the metal may be enough to thaw the ice and allow you to unlock it. To ensure that the lock will not freeze again, spray it with WD-40.

  • If the entire door is frozen, carefully chip the ice away from the edges with a scraper. Be careful not to scratch the paint of the car. If you cannot chip the ice away, try pouring some windshield washer fluid on the icy areas; windshield washer fluid contains alcohol and this may help melt the ice.

  • Use a blow dryer set on high to melt the surrounding ice.

  • The best way to open a frozen car door and prevent future frustration is to purchase de-icer. Many good brands are available at hardware and auto shops - just be sure the solvent displaces moisture and leaves behind a lubricant. If the lock itself is frozen, spray the product directly into the key hole, wait five seconds and then put in your key and try to turn it. Most of these products have straws that help direct the product out of the can and into small areas, making the de-icing process easy.

Once the door is open, consider spraying the de-icer along the hinges of the door to keep other parts from freezing. Keep the de-icer in your home or garage where you can easily find it. Do not keep it in your vehicle. Having de-icer in your frozen vehicle won't do you much good.

Crashed my 2006 yaris

It's most likely engine coolant. Get a white rag or paper towel, and put in the fluid. Is it green? If it is, it's engine coolant. The cooling system (radiator) is located in the front of the vehicle, so it's the 1st thing to be damaged in an accident. If the fluid isn't green, post more info (color) and I'll try to help you.
