Depends on how how much the cost of the pump is, whether its new or rebuilt and the hourly rate of the shop. Some shops work at $60 per hour where others are at $100. You are looking at anywhere from $300 to $500.

Most newer vehicles are pretty hard to work on due to the inverse engine setup and tighter spaces due to safety standards. However if the right tools are present and with a little know how a lot of tasks can still be done at home for the backyard mechanic. It is a fairly evolved job and you will need a crank shaft puller to to the job. you can usually rent these from parts stores like autozone.
there is a video of this on youtube that you can watch to give you a general idea of whats involved.

I dont get cold air from ac. mechanic told me to replace evaporator . he tested using a sniffer inside the car after filling freon. Gave me aquote of about 1600 USD.wanted to know if this is a fair pr

For your make and model that is a way fair price. BMW seems to be a little more labor intensive them some other vehicles. But those recommended repairs are well worth it and help the longevity on your vehicle.

Waterpump replacement cost 1988 300zx?

It should cost somewhere between $350-$500. The website that you can go to and check out prices on auto repairs is www.repairpal.com. It's a pretty neat site, you just put in the type of car, where you're located and what you need replaced and it will give you an idea of what you can expect to pay. let me know if you have any further questions. Thanks for rating my response and for using FixYa!

Selling price . .1991 honda prelude SI HELP?

Yes under the new US/Obama deal you can get 4500 for it at a dealership if you buy a new car. The better the mpg of the car you get determines how much of the 4500 its worth. Other than that I would think 500 would be fair for a car that might not make it home.

When to replace the timing belt on a 2002 audi a4 1.8T

Audi 4 cylinder engines must have timing belt replaced as soon as 75,00 miles but no later than 105,000 miles. When doing job properly the mechanics should be replacing belt, tensioners, rollers, waterpump, thermostat and gasket. Average price would be around $900-$1200 US dollars.
