Motor is not turning in second direction to lower window. Either the new motor is defective or the device that reverses the electricity to the motor is defective. Regulator?

Take motor out and feed it juice - will turn. Reverse polarity and it should turn in other direction.

1995 contour,do u have to chang window motor to change regulator. passeng front.

NO....
If your motor is good ? you will have to take it off the old regulator and install it on the new regulator.

It will be riveted on. You will have to drill out rivets (1/4" Drill Bit) and install the motor with short 1/4" bolts and nuts.

Passenger window broke...do i need two parts to repair it ?

You will not know which is the problem until you get into the window. This is a pretty straight forward job, remove all screws holding the door panel on, some will be hidden behind plastic tabs. Take a door panel tool, about $5.00 at a parts store, work it around the panel to find the plastic clips, gently pry them up one at a time. Remove dust cover. You now should be able to see the regulator and the motor. If regulator is intact meter the motor. If the motor is not getting power the problem is the switch. If the motor is bad drill out the pop rivets and remove motor. I have found on some doors it is easier to use nuts and bolts to put the motor and regulators back instead of pop rivets, just make sure they will fit when everything goes back together.

94 Lumina Van Passenger Window

I would plan on a new motor, to chage it yourself may be more than you want to do. To change the motor you will need to remove the regulator that is the devise that attaches to the window and rolls it up and down. Once you have it out of the door the motor bolts to it. (if this van has the cable driven regulator it will be easier to change out)

Passenger window will not go up or down

I had the same problem a few years ago except my window was stuck up. There is a cable inside the door that controls the window (not sure what it's called). Anyway, that cable was broken so the motor was working but not the window. Take the door panel off and you should be able to see the cable and if it's still attached correctly.
