Not normaly, May need to get alignment. If alignment is ok you need to check your wheel bearings,, You can check this by jacking up front end and see if wheel had slack in moving back and forth. best of luck to you,

Replacing distributor

well, to answer this we must know history, even the FSM states this.
its a toy engine so you have all facts online to match that engine.
1: it was wrong all along. timing ?
2: it was ok, time wise and want to just swap it out. ?

ILL shoot for the moon here, go easy way, #2
mark all wires. 1,2,3,4 (1 is water pump side, 4 is tranny side.0
mark cap terms too.
now transfer marks from old cap diz to new.
now remove cap on old
put crank at TDC such that #1 cap tower is at #1 wire.
this is called TDC #1 firing. (crank pulley marks are as FSM shows
then remove dizzy.
drop in new dizzy such that rotor still aligns with #1 cap tower term marked above.
clamp down dizzy
now do fine timing set running per FSM.

all this is at alldata.com and for if #1 is true, all wrong to start.

the above works for all dizzy cars made, mostly.

all this and more here.
vast info, all free too.

When I make a left turn only, and break, it sounds like something is rubbing or grinding. If I turn left without breaking, I don't hear anything. No noises when turning right or braking while driv

If the problem is as bad as it sounds, you may be close to parking it until fixed.
Normally, if you turn left, your are "loading" the right side, and visa-versa.
Think of it this way.
Picture a car going fast around a turn. The wheel on the inside of the turn might actually lift off of the ground, it is "unloaded".
With that thought in mind, look closely at the right front wheel. Start with the brake pads and /or rotor ( what the brake pads rub on to stop the car.)
Check the rotor inside and out. A good flashlight will do.
Pull the right front wheel and see if the pads are worn out or the rotor is no longer smooth, but "torn up" on the inside or the outside.
If the pads and the rotor is fine, next look at the wheel bearings.
This will be a bigger problem, probably a shop needs to check this out.

While driving straight the car pulls to the side

the free things to check tire pressure / tire size the same-also same brand and model then jack the car up and shake the tire back and forth checking for play spin the tire and watch the tire and see if it has a hop to it then swap the front tires from one side to the other if it pulls in the other direction you have a bad tire

My 2002 chevy 1500 van , 4.3 liter v6, will not fire. ran great, no signs of trouble leding up to now. Cranks, cranks, & cranks but no sputter, fire, anything

I would check and be sure I had fire to the plugs and fuel to the throttle body. I read what you wrote about the fuel pump but then on the end of the description where you put gas in the van the pump might not be working. If so you could have a bad wire to the fuel pump or a plugged fuel filter. Once you verify those items I would pull the 02 sensor ahead of the catalytic converter in the exhaust and make sure the cat or muffler is not plugged. If they are it will put back pressure on the engine and not allow fuel into the cyl. to fire.

When driving my van at 55 to 65 mph for 25 miles or so, then come to a stop my van wants to die . then i put it in park start it then put it in drive, it wants to die.

It sounds like you might have a sticking Torque Converter Lock-up Soleniod. It will act like you have a manual transmission and forgot to push the clutch in. (Jerky - jerky then dies) It is not real hard to change. The hard part is getting the side cover off of the transmission.

My 1995 chevy astro van shakes every time i break

you either have bad brake pads or the bolts are loose that hold the front steering suspension on.

When I step on the brakes in my astro van it dives to the side. It does't stay straight, you have to steer it straight when you hit the brakes.

IF THE VAN IS PULLING TO ONE SIDE DURRING BRAKING THE SIDE IT IS PULLING TO IS THE GOOD SIDE THE OTHER SIDE THE CALIPOR IS EITHER NOT WORKING OR HUNG UP, WHAT I WOULD DO IS REMOVE THE WHEEL ON THE SIDE THAT ISN'T PULLING AND CHECK THE CALIPOR SLIDES, IF THEY LOOK GOOD AND SEEM TO BE MOVING FREE THEN I WOULD REPLACE THE CALIPOR. HOPE THIS HELPS GOOD LUCK

The front left brake on my 99 malibu grinds as i drive, and pulls to one side as i brake

Bad caliper, or you just need to rebuild your caliper. The grinding noise is likely caused from the pads being bad and the rivets are grinding on the rotor. I recommend if you are a handy person, rebuild the caliper, if not then buy a new one and replace it and bleed the brakes
