I soldered all the connections on my stereo system and I keep blowing my 5amp fuses I have the yello wire from the head onto pos + on my then I have the black wire on neg .also my red wire is on neg.

check the wiring as the red wire may be a positive power in wire and if you have it on the negative terminal that would amount to a dead short and that would blow the fuse
consider changing the yellow from the + terminal and putting the red wire there and if it stops blowing fuses the put the yellow wire on to the - ve
if that means that the unit doesn't work then touch it back on the + terminal
if that works the solder it there

My 77 Chevy c30 has no power. Jumped started it and drove it home. I turned it off then tried to restart it. No power no lights. nothing. Battery is good. An u help will be appreciated.

If the battery is good you will need to follow flow. Test light is the easiest to use. First hook light to ground and touch pos terminal, lights good next touch pos battery cable end, lights good. Next follow pos cable to starter pos terminal, lights good. Next hook test light to bat pos teminal, touch neg terminal, lights good. Then touch engine block, lights good ground. Next move test light clamp back to ground/neg side and touch alt pos terminal, lights good.if all that tests good, if all good move inside and check for power at ign switch pos term if at any time you dont find power you have wiring issue that needs to be addressed. Let me know what you find. Russ

Put my battery on wrong neg on pos pos on neg yes plonker moment after wouldn't start checked fuses three blown now replaced car will start but side lights don't work hazards or indicators...

besides checking EVERY fuse in both fuse boxes, check the multitude of relays because chances are some of them are toasted as well. And keep your fingers crossed you have not damaged a CM.
You can wiring diagrams out on the web.

ENGINE FAN

turn on a/c does the fan turn on? unplug fan connection mesure voltage comming to the fan it should be 12+ volts. If not it is a fuse or relay. Get some wire that is long enough to reach the battery to the fan plug (have a buddy help) place the 2 wires on the battery connecters 1 pos 1 neg then take the other ends of the wires and touch the wires to the 2 leads in the fan connection. neg wire to the black wire. pos wire to the red. if fan does not come on then the motor is bad. do not worry about touching the battery you will NOT get shocked

Turn signals and hazard lights won't work

you should have pulled the pos battery cable off before you cut the wires and it could be that some of the wires you cut were for the turn signals.

On some wiring systems you have to make sure the wires are not touching neg. and pos.just try some speakers without actually installing them. make sure mute button is not on.
