There is a shot to ground in the ABS system ! If familiar with electrical trouble shoot , find a wiring diagram an test the B+ power circuit ! That fuse supply's power to the electronic brake control module , if no short on wire from fuse box to brake control module , the module has an internal problem .

Seat Alhambra 2000 1.9 tdi wiring diagram needed as the dashboard is almost totally blacked out.i've checked every fuse replaced or tested every bulb inc holder.Thank you VM if anyone can help

I usually get wiring details from the library, they have these HUGE books with the whole wiring diagrams,of course as long as your car's wiring hasn't been altered ,you'd be able to find your problem. You could see if the dealer's auto parts counter could give you a print of the dashboard wiring.

Abs light on

ur brakes will work fine when abs system goes bad what changes is that the brakes will lock up when pressed hard and can cause skidding when abs lght pops on usually means a sensor problem look behind wheel and check connections and wire for damage or partial disconnect sometimes debris can cause damage to the wiring if looks good than have truck scanned and use the trouble code to pinpoint the trouble location most auto stores will offer to scan vehicles for free check ur local area

ABS light is on saying there is a problem with the ABS system. Needing to trouble shoot this, maybe find a wire diagram and location of the ABS module.

Some scanners will pinpoint the problem in an ABS unit. Autozone, Advance, and Oreilys give free scans. You need to call ahead to ask if they have a scanner which will do this. Only the more expensive scanners have that extra capabilty beyond the basic engine functions.

The ABS has some sensitive stuff inside the box. The wheel sensors can give problems if they are dirty or blocked by debris. Many times the ABS error will occur when the wheel revolution counters do not match. Then the Traction control starts messing up. A scanner will indicate which sensor is the problem.

Why does my anti lock break light stay on on the dash

u have a problem in the abs system can be anything from a disconnected sensor wire to a bad sensor first look at the wiring for damage or a disconnected sensor they are located behind wheels -an electrical wire running to the back of rotors if wiring looks good have car scanned for trouble code most auto stores [advanced auto, auto zone ,etc..]offer this service for free the code will pinpoint the trouble location so a repair can be made

Abslight stays on no brake lights

Fuse 12 (10 Amps) may be burned out. Its located in "Junction Block". Losing
fuse 12 would kill the ABS systems and light the ABS dashboard light.

Fuse 11 (20 Amps) may be out. Its located in "Power Distribution Center". Losing fuse 11
would kill the brake lights, and light the ABS dashboard light. If fuse 11 is blown,
check your (3) brake light sockets for shorts of any type, or fuse 11 will just blow again.

Here's your ABS Indicator Light wiring diagram:

Abs light stays on and odometer quit working

When Yellow ABS warning light illuminates during normal operation, the system has detected a problem and has stored a Diagnostic Trouble Code (DTC). Loss of power to module will cause system to be deactivated and Yellow ABS warning light to be illuminated. This fault will not set a DTC.
The Rear Anti-Lock Brake System II (RABS II) Speed Sensor is located on the Rear Differential Case. This sensor sends the speed signal of the rear tires to the RABSII Control Module, which also receives the Turbine Shaft Speed Sensor. The RABSII Control Module uses both signals to control the RABS II Proportioning Valve. If the RABSII Control Module does not receive both signals, the ABS Light will come ON.
Finally, the Sensor I think is giving you trouble. The Turbine Shaft Speed (TSS) Sensor is located on the transmission tail. This sensor sends the speed signal to the PCM which in turn sends it to the Speedometer and to the RABSII Module. If this sensor is disconnected or inoperative, the Speedometer won't work and the ABS light will come ON. Check electrical connector to the sensor, make sure is clean, free of corrosion and properly connected.
Before you replace the sensor, have the computer codes scanned for FREE at AutoZone, Checkers or similar autoparts store.
Good Luck!! A HELPFUL - 4 THUMBS - rating for this solution would be greatly appreciated. Thank you for using FixYa.

Abs brake keeps coming on

The sensors are located at all four wheels. Follow the wiring from the back of the wheel. They are most likely intergrated with the bearing/hub assembly
