When fueling my 2002 hyundai 350L the fuel keeps stopping as if full,I have to fill it very slow

This happens when the tank ventilation system gets clogged, or the bottom of the fuel tank is bent inward. When you fill the tank it displaces air as the fuel goes in. It acts like its full because it can't vent the air out of the tank

Gasoline pump keeps clicking off every few seconds

a suggested have the filler and recovery and evap system of the tank filler tube checked out ..could be perished seals or piping
other thoughts
some gas stations fuel pump sniffers can be more sensitive to shut offs than others....the pump sensor is supposed to be tested adjustable or sensor replaced regular intervals
these days the operator wait till there enough complaints before doing anything

the new model cars seem to have more filler neck filling issues
than in the past
could be the smaller diameter of the pump nozzle

could be the temperature of the day fuming the gas in the cars filler tube

Gas tank

How did you "vent" the car ?
Usually the problem is a restriction in the filler neck, or the vent is not working for the tank allowing pressure to build up while refueling.

Having trouble filling the fuel tank. Pump shuts off every 10-15 seconds. Any suggestions?

First, This can be caused by trying to refuel with the engine running. If the engine was running when you were refueling, the evaporative emissions system could have been in PURGE mode at the time. This will cause the vent solenoid for your fuel system to be closed and the air trapped inside the fuel tank is what was causing your problem. If this is the case, shutting the ignition switch off when refueling will fix the problem.

Otherwise, the vent solenoid could be sticking or the charcoal canister could be saturated. The canister could be coming apart inside and clogging the vent solenoid with charcoal pellets. There are Technical Service Bulletins (TSBs) covering this subject on several Ford models. However, I did not find any TSBs that apply directly to your model. So, to put it simply, your EVAP system as well as your fill tube should be checked for resrictions. If you did not try to refuel with the engine running, my bets are on a sticking vent solenoid valve.

When fuelling only a spoonful goes into the tank befoe the nozell shuts off.

Sometimes the fuel venting system does not release the vacuum enough to allow refueling. You would think that opening the gas-cap would vent everything, but it does not. The evaporator canister solenoid valve could be sticking.

Also check your gas tank straps. One strap could be loose or the fuel-pump could have been replaced and the tank rehung crooked. If you imagine filling the tank, you need the high side by the tank filler neck.

Check with a Chrysler dealer about any service bulletins regarding fixes for your problem. They may have a redesigned filler neck to eliminate the air lock you are experiencing.

Gasoline pump at gas station keeps turning off

There is a vent valve located near the fuel tank. The vent valve is part of the EVAP emission system. If the valve is obstructed or failed, air will not escape while refueling.
Has the service engine light come on at all?
