First get a book that will show you exactly where. I know that sounds crass, but that is the best way to do it for a DIY'er. I'm not certain, but I think there is just one, but check with your parts stre, then buy them both(?) and match them up with the respective plugs under the car.BTW- what prompt\s you to change them? Is it the "stuck in second gear" syndrome?

There is an Input and an Output on the Driver side of the transmission and they lay behingd the starter on the trans body and are horizontal to the piping. for the price, I replace them Both. The one nearest the front of the trans is the INPUT. the once farthest away is the output. Together they are about 50 bucks, and to me, it is not worth testing or climbing under there unless you really want to. Then you need a booik to tell you the values of each sensor- and that takes time. Time is money. Can you spare 50 bucks? 1" deep well socket to remove them, and a 3/8' joint on a ratchet.

Can be located on the output shaft of the transmission. Look for 2 or 3 wire harness leading to a black object near the rear of the transmission closest to the drive shaft.

2000 300m shifts into 2nd gear and locks out all other gears. (limp mode) Changed speed odometer sensor, and have pulled #11 fuse, Checked wiring. battery cables removed for re~set. What else can be...

you replaced the output speed sensor, try replacing the input speed sensor, sometimes called the turbine speed sensor, thats where the computer gets the info to shift.

Engine light and ABS traction control light remain

The ABS sensor is a speed sensor also for Traction Control. This is why both lights are on , One of your front ABS sensors are bad or disconnected, or has a pinched wire.

Crysler 300m 2 gear jaming...

When a chrysler overdrive goes into second gear it indicates there is a problem There is no way to tell you what it needs. It has to be scanned to determine what is going on. There are input and output speed sensors, shift solenoids, PRNDL switch, neutral switch and improper clutch pack clearance internally as well as major internal failure.

Again it has to be scanned. Hope it is one of the speed sensor.. Just in case since they do fail often, the input speed sensor is located closer to the motor at 9 o'clock facing the back side of the trans and the output speed sensor is located near the back of the trans at the same position.

Hope this helps. (Auto Zone and Advance will usually scan for free.)
