2005 grand am no start no dash lights only power locks when turning key. New battery and ignition switch. What can it be?

No dash lights? no warning lights? Then ignition is not being turned to ON. Check all your fuses. Recheck your replacement work. Battery cables clean and tight? Headlights work? If lights are bright, battery is good and cables are good, so key to ON should light up warning lights on dash. If not something up still with your ignition switch.

2000 S10 wont turn over, good battery, starter and alternator. All instruments lights up when turning key. Fuses are all good, what else can I check.

Try turning your head lights on and hit the starter and if your lights dim right down it tells me that you could have a bad battery cable connection if you are sure the battery is charged up. It's possible your starter is pulling too much power as well.
If your head lights do not go dim then that tells me you have another problem where your not making connection to power in your battery.to the starter. I had bad battery cables and I could not even boost using my battery booster. cables

Starter wont turn over

clean battery posts and terminal to shiny clean. tighten the clamps . If there is a relay check the operation of the relay. If the lights go dim when you turn the key to start then have a load test done on the battery as good lights going dim on starting are an indication of a bad cell

Can a battery read 12volts when engine doesn't start and if lights get turned on voltage drops to 3 volts does this mean the battery is no good

Your battery is definately suspect.Give it a good charge and check it again. If it drops like that when you turn on the lights replace it.A fully charged battery in good condition will read about 14.2V when fully charged. When you turn the key to start it will drop to about 11 and come back up when you turn the key off.

Turn key will not start battery is good

Make sure the connections and the cables are good.No corrosion on cables. If the lights in the dash flicker this is usually a sign that the battery is not good or it is not making good contact.Have the charging system and battery load tested.Hope this helps.Good luck.

Audi A6 2006 problem with battery

Yes
First thing is to test the battery and this is how Turn on head lights, if dull leave on to see how long the stay on for. Next turn lights off put battery on charge for 6 hrs .Turn on lights again if still dull either battery or charger no good
If lights bright try to start and when starter trys to turn engine over the lights go dim THEN battery is no good.
Then get a jump start from another battery and put pos term on both batterys first, then earth lead(BLACK) on last then start if starts ok remove the BLACK lead and turn on head lights if goes bright ALTERNATORs ok so replace battery ....

Checked all fuses-good, swapped bulbs-good, hazard lights-good, head lights good, turn signals-good but no brake lights. 1995 chevy silverado

Does the turn signals or hazards work in the rear?? Yes... it may be the brake switch or the turn signal switch (power goes from battery, to the brake switch then to the turn signal switch, then to the lights. No? .. again.. possibly turn signal switch or the wiring between cab and bed.

2000 - battery light comes and won't turn over

The "battery light" is an indicator lamp for the alternator that charges the battery.
Was the "good" battery you put in charged?
.
When the key is in the ON position (not running but on), the light should illuminate to show that the warning lamp bulb works, it should go off after starting the engine.
When the vehicle is running, if the the "battery" light is illuminated its a warning that the alternator is not charging the battery. A new alternator is needed here.

If the lamp goes off when running I suspect your battery is faulty.

Battery good, power to starter, engine won't turn over

The battery is good, interior and exsterior lights strong, volts good, but the engine won't turn over.
Any of the accessories will operate fine with a nearly dead battery and will only pull down the battery voltage at the terminals very little. A healthy battery will deliver at least 11 volts with all your lights, stereo, power windows, etc. operating at once.     If your lights are only dimming a little when starting, you may have an oxidized connection at the starter terminal so this needs to be checked too.
If the ground terminal (negative) is corroded where chassis and engine come together, this can drop too much voltage and, if bad enough, could shut down your engine too.
