Hi, this seems indicative of a poor connection at the CLUSTER or a junction connector close to the cluster. This is assuming you have ruled OUT ALL ABS COMPONENTS, look at these very closely because of the small volts these wires carry , the SMALLEST DEFECT will cause this type of symptom that you have given. Please try all of the above, I feel confident that this is where your Problem Is.

Blower for heat and AC

Try this. When the blower is not working open the hood. Locate the blower on the passenger side near the firewall. Most likely it is covered with a thin rubber piece but it may not be. Turn the key to the run position. The engine does not need to be running. Turn the blower speed switch to high. Tap the blower with the handle end of a large screw driver. If the blower starts to work replace it.

Heat stopped working in 2000 pontiac sunfire

With blower on high and tempature to max heat check to see if you have good air flow in all mode selections (defrost, vent, floor etc.). If so and you still have no heat then check heater core hose going from engine to inside car to heater core with vehicle running and coolant tempature about half on guage. If both hoses are hot and coolant in radiator/overflow bottle is full then hot cold blend door is stuck in cold position. If coolant level is low you will get no heat, check coolant level first.

There is moisture coming out of the AC vents on my daughters 2006 s40, usually during very hot weather and not until the car has been driven for several miles

The drain on the evaporator is stopped up,look for it directly bellow the ac lines ,where they go into the car,under the hood,it will be on the bottom of the blower box,use air pressure to blow into the drain to clear it out.

Concerning the poor heat problem, the engine may not be coming up to full operating temperature. If you have a temperature gauge on the instrument cluster, see if its coming up to where it should be, about 3/4 of the way up. If not then check operating temperature some other way. Should be about 190 deg. If not hot enough engine coolant thermostat will need to be replaced.

When the engine is cold,check the coolant level.

Make sure it's on max.

A coolant system should be flush every two years.

===

If you did a coolant flush recently then air pocket can be the cause of the un-even heating problem.

The DIY method is to drive you car onto a ramp or a steep hill.

Iet the engine cool off and top off the coolant tank.

Set MAX heat + MAX fan

Let the engine ran for 20 minutes wih the cap off and the trap air will escape from the coolant reserve tank,

Check coolant level and top off coolant when the engine cools down.

A shop will charge $75+ for this but using an air operated excavate tool!

========

A car with over 90K miles may experience linkage problem to the heater control valve.

The heater control valve (near the firewall) may be stick over time.

Open the hood and move the heater to max and min. Back and forth.

Clean and lube the linkage with WD-40 to free the heater control valve.

If it's a vacuum type heater control valve then cash for leaky vac. hoses.

=======
Move the fan switch back and forth to re-new the electrical conductors.

Pass a vacuum over the control panel to prevent dust build up behind the console.

Blower quit

Blower motor is likely bad if it doesn't work on any speed, if it works on only one speed then there is a resistor located by the blower motor that is bad each item should run around $30 at local parts store
