You don`t say what type of gm car/truck you have.just about all gm car battery`s are noticeable as soon as you open the hood.some models of cars have a plastic cover over top of the battery but you can see were the battery cables fasten to the use side terminals instead of terminals on the top of the battery.corvettes are located under a rear panel behind the interior seats in the floor area.some of them because there is no room under the hood put them in the wheel wells in front of the front wheels between the inner plastic fender panel and the outer fender panel in the area behind the headlights were you have to remove the inner fender to gain access to the battery.some of these have only cable connection terminals showing where you can attach jumper cables under the hood.

How do I use a hybrid car (lexus 300h) to start a normal car ? Where are the + and - battery connections ?

I would expect a positive terminal under the hood, generally under a red flap with an earth connection near by.
One would suggest getting the owners manual out and looking up, "jump starting" it should have host and donor vehicle instructions

How do u jump start BMW without being able to get to battery

Hi Ricky

Under the bonnet/Hood you should see a red cap thing with a + sign on it, this is the possessive to the battery lift off the cap and there should be what looks like a brass looking bolt connect red live jump lead to this, and the earth wire can connect to any ware under the bonnet/hood where it will make a ground, some also have a black thing with a - on it just connect the earth/black jumper to that and then you can jump start hope that helps

Hi, When jump starting this vehicle make sure that the Q7 is connected first, then connect to the jumper vehicle. Connect 1 lead to the positive on the Q7 and the negative to a good solid body part or engine part. This will then ensure that the vehicle will start on the jumper vehicles battery directly without going through the Q7 flat battery causing the electronics to strain.
Hope this helped.

We do not know how to jump the battery for the back door is shut

Hello, there is a place under the hood you can use to jump start this vehicle. here is the instructions.

Locate the remote positive terminal which is located under a red tethered cap on the engine compartment fuse block. Remove the cap to access the terminal.
  • Do not remove fuse block cover to jump start the vehicle.
  • Locate the remote negative (-) ground terminal, marked GND (-), which is located at the front of the engine compartment on the driver side of the vehicle.

you can jump directly to the battery. the procedure for doing this is as follows connect the positive cable to the dead vehicle(yours) then connect the ground cable either to the battery or to the engine block. then conect the positve cable to the jump vehicle then connect the ground. start the jump vehicle and rev engine to 1500-2000 rpm for 2 minutes. let vehicle idle for 5 minutes. then try and start dead vehicle. sometimes the whole thing takes 10 to 15 minutes to be successfull. please rate the solution.........thanks
