Question about 2003 Lincoln Navigator

Non-functioning air suspension system

Hi, i hope you can help. i have an 03 navigator ultimate. today, with no problems leading up to it, the suspension system stopped working. (all the way down, no air pump noises, very bouncy ride) i checked the deactivation switch and it was ok. i checked the fuses (20, 27, 103, and 111) and they looked fine. i jacked up the front and rear and did not see any tears in the air bags. (when jacked up, they sucked in and did not inflate like they would if there was a good hole)
i called my dealer and they just said to bring it in and pay them to trouble shoot it.

help.

First check for power to pump with a test light. Check the air ride level switch under the car towards the back. This switch activates the pump. If no power than possible bad air ride switch.

How do I know if the suspension control module is bad in a 2005 lincoln navigator?

This is a very complicated and expensive system to maintain. I would strongly recommend doing a air suspension conversion on your Navigator and be done with the problem forever.

Can the front suspension problem be due to the compressor

If the rear suspension is not affected its probably a leak or a front height sensor.

Front raises but back does not

Had this issue as well. Problem was with airbags and compressor. Ended up replacing air ride suspension with coil springs.

2004 Lincoln nave, rear wheels jacked up high, front wheels normal, rides real rough??? any thoughts???? Thanks,

Replace the air suspension with conventional shock/strut
conversions. The Air Ride System is not worth investing
time and money ,after the vehicle is 5 years old.
Too expensive to maintain ,and too difficult to diagnose

Next time buy the Ford version of the vehicle

04 lincoln navigator, Air ride problem. Driverside front and rear bags appear fully inflated. The passenger side looks normal height. When I shut the truck off driverside stays jacked up and passenger side...

My suggestion to you and all the other folks leaving questions on this board about collapsed air suspension systems in luxury cars is to fix that one by replacing it with a real spring and shock system which you can buy at www.strutmasters.com if it is economically feasible, then sell it and avoid air suspensions systems like the plague. There are legions of old 70s Citroens still sitting idle 30 years later on collapsed air suspensions systems in garages and barns all over the country which cars the buyers can't let go because they cost so damn much. Get a coleman air mattress and use it every day, see how long it really lasts.

My navigtor 03 is rubbing my tires in the front air suspension works but sometimes it dont what can i do

You can replace the air ride system, with a conventional non air type, like on most vehicles

If your going to keep it another ten years,I would do that

If you decide to continue to diagnose and repair your system ,and you will, often, and hopefully never at a dealer,or it will be like a second mortgage payment

Strutmasters and other have replacement suspension for it.

2001 Navigator rear suspension sagging. While

It sounds like one of your air bags could have blown. I would check them first. I would also suggest checking into a replacement non air conversion kit from Strutmasters. I replaced the air system on my 2002 Navigator and saved a lot of time, money and headaches. The lines on my navigator had holes in them and I replaced the compressor twice before I realized it. Very costly. Avoid all the hassle and check out Strutmasters.

My 03 navigator suddenly lost all suspension could it be a short or do I have to replace the whole suspension

There is a switch I believe in one of the rear quarter pannels to turn off the air ride incase it is being towed it can be turned off to keep from damaging the air ride suspension.

Hope this gets you moving again!!!
