9 times out of 10 it's the realy but check if stater is getting power to crank wire

There is most likely a fuse and in most cases a starter relay. You can test the starter by jumping the main power wire to it with the small ignition wire right next to it. Then you will at least know if the problem is the starter or the wiring before it.
