Yes, it could be just dirt in the switch or the contacts have corroded,
Try to access switch by removing column cover, spray some WD40 or CRC 556 into switch, this may help but, indicator switches do work hard and wear fairly quickly, particularly *** ones.
All the best, MMP

When I use the indicators the left is working fine, but whn I go to use the right hand indicator it only works intermittently and I have to fiddle with the indicator switch stalk to get it to work. It may only be that there is dirt after getting in somewhere but I have no idea.

Left indicator light flicker too fast

If the right side works properly, switch all indicator bulbs one at a time. test with each bulb change. Untill you find the one that makes it flash at the rite timing. I had a bad rear bulb. The brake filiment was laying on the tail light filiment. This made the blinker timing bad.

Gear shift indicator lights flicker on instrument cluster

Sometimes on the shifter its self they use two different items, some use a medal rod and some use a cable like an ebrake. if its a cable one it may have stretched and isn't going back to its actual spot for the instrument lights to work properly. you can tighten that cable.that's all I can think of right now good luck.

2001 F-150 cruise control stopped working. Already checked the fuse and it's good. What's next

really tough to do on the net but first we need to know about any codes...

Hold speed control OFF button, and turn ignition switch to RUN position. CRUISE indicator should flash once to indicate successful entry into self-diagnostic mode. If CRUISE indicator does not flash, start procedure over. If CRUISE indicator still does not flash, repair system by symptom there might be some switch concern

If CRUISE CONTROL indicator flashes once followed by 5 additional flashes, replace speed control servo/actuator.

Release speed control OFF button. Within 5 seconds in entering self-diagnostics, press speed control ON button. Press remaining speed control buttons in the following sequence; ON, RES, COAST and SET/ACCEL.

As each button is pressed, CRUISE indicator will flash.

Wait until indicator light goes out, then press next button. After sequence has been completed, indicator light will flash to indicate test passed or failed. With the codes we can then better diagnose your concern

Immediately after static test has passed, actuator performs a dynamic test by automatically operating throttle .04-.40" (1-10 mm). Observe throttle movement to witness any sticking in cable or linkage. Ensure throttle returns properly. Turn ignition switch to LOCK position. If self-diagnostics do not pinpoint fault there is more we can do but tough over the net

97 lumina blinkers dont work. Causes brake lights to go out when engaged. When emergency flashers on, rear doesn't flash unless turn signal is engaged then the one acts properly. Problem occured twice...

The problem is with your multifunction switch. The steering wheel has to come off and you need a special puller for this. Also the air bag is part of the horn pad that has to be removed so the S.I.R system has to be disabled.S.I.R means Supplemental Inflatable Restraint. The indicator switch is part of the multifunction switch. It does not come off like earlier models. If you are not familiar with air bag systems then You should not be trying to replace the multifunction switch on your own. There is also a clock spring that is on the steering column and if it is not installed properly then it will fail and turn the air bag light on.Then it will have to be replaced. The price for that spring here where I am located is over $200.00.Could be more where you are.Hope this info helps.Good luck.

Just installed a new alternater and the battery gadge is reding discharge I had the battery checked and its good. Can you help

Check the 'Bat' / 'Charge'/ 'Alt' indicator on the dash panel lights when the vehicle ignition is switched on prior to starting the engine.
This indicator should extinguish within approx 1 second of starting engine.

If the indicator is not operating the alternator cannot provide charge current - check:-
1) the wiring connections to the new alternator,
2) the indicator lamp is not blown,
3) the alternator is properly grounded.

If the indicator light works normally, check the output voltage of the alternator is approx 14.5v when the motor is running.
If its about 14.5v, the battery should be charging.

Hi I have a 94 chevy g20 that the blinkers aren't flashing. Hazard lights are working fine. Walk around the van no lights are dead. Check all fuse everything is good. Any help would be great.

check the indicator flasher or relay that operate the blinkers or indicator light & hazard light system, check the combination switch for proper working if problem with it better replace it, if you are not able to solve the problem better take vehicle to nearest GM workshop for proper repair & checkup to be done & get the problem solve
