I need to replace the Heater Blend Door Actuator in my wife's 2004 Pontiac Grand Am SE. Were is it and how hard is it to replace.

its hard job if first time doing mechanic work.problem could be the temperature control switch also.to get to the air door actutor you have to remove instrument panel cluster and remove lower right sound insulator and lower left sound insulator panel and knee bolster from below the steering column.first you need to disable airbag in the steering wheel and passenger side dash before working around the dash area.to disable airbags turn off radio disconnect negative battery cable wait 20 minutes let airbag discharge first before attempting to work around the dash or instrument cluster. like i said hard job if first time you have remove a lot of things to get to the heater core housing where air door actutor and defrost actutator locations.

Hi, I own a 2001 Pontiac Grand SE 4 Door. I recently ran out of gas with it yesterday and had to refill the tank with two gallons. After bringing the gas gage back to par, I figured the car would start...

Turn the key to on position. (Do Not Start) Leave the key in the on postion for EXACTLY 10 minutes. As SOON as the 10 minutes is up and the light turns off, then IMMEDIATELY starte the car.

I drive a 2004 Pontiac Grand am GT. Today after I had to accelerator really quickly, my car started to mess up. I would hit the gas and my RPMS would go up an then fall right back down like the car was...

It sounds like your fuel filter is getting clogged. There is enough flow to allow the engine to run at low load, but as soon as you try to dump lots of fuel into the engine, there is not enough flow, and the engine dies. Replace the fuel filter.

2004 pontiac grand am car will not start

the security light will flash and disable the fuel injectors preventing the car from starting, if it thinks that it is being stolen. its easy to fix. set the parking brake to turn off the automatic headlights. next turn the key to the on position and wait ten minutes. the security light should stop flashing. then turn the key off and this will reset the security system. it should start immediatly afterwards.

99 pontiac grand am se 6 cyl. Few days ago car refused to start. Would try to turn over but wouldnt get there. Checked plugg wires and made sure they where clean and well connected. Started afterwards....

I would start by checking the throttle position sensor. It can be ohmed out with an analog multimeter to see if there are any dead spots in it. You might also check the fuel system pressure to see if the pump is intermittent.

Hope this helps.
