This is a Taurus X. I was able to get the second row seats out and the middle console. The third row seats are mounted different, cant get them out. Also the molding between the door and the carpet does not have any screws to remove.

Pictures will be helpful, The third row seats rotate on a type of bar and I cant see where it is bolted to the car. The trim around the door jams do not seem to pop out . Do you pry from the rubber side or the carpet side ?

Hello, I was able to get the moldings removed from the door jams. I am not able to get the third row seats out. Cannot see how they are held in place? Does the trim in the back need to be removed? If so how? Sorry to be a headache.

Darklord1,Thanks for the help. My sons friend came by and he was able to get it out. As it turns out the third row seats do not have to be removed. The plastic trim does and so does the consoles and seats. The carpet is in four sections and in some spots there is a type of clip to hold it in place. Tell your buddy thanks for the offer. Hope this information will help you in the future. THANKS

The floor carpet right ???

1.) remove the seats (they are bolted under)
2.) remove the center console, bolted from the sides and pry up center tray to expose screws.
3.) remove side panels by the doors, it just screws in place.
4.) PULL the carpet out, its tuck using S-Guard so use dome force. remember to put more S-Guard or sealer when putting in new carpet.

Brake light on and car is off on my 2004 ford Taurus sometimes when I shut the driver door the lights will blink and the car is off

Sounds like corrosion in an electrical connector providing a link for electrical current to leak to another circuit/system. Sometimes connector blocks are hidden under carpets where moisture collects.
Remove 'scuff trims' to be able to lift carpet and find connectors. Undo the connectors one at a time until light goes out. Spray all connectors with a product like 'WD40' before re-assembly

Its possible you got water in a wiring harness under the carpet or under one of the seats.
You would need to trace the wiring from the key to the starter to see what is not working. Could be the neutral safety switch on the trans but that would not have anything to do with wet carpets.
