Question about 1995 Chevrolet Lumina

Speedometer working some now on 20 mph but really going 50mph. How to fix this? 2003 cavalier I have a `95 Lumina thats a taxi. The taxi meter reads the correct speed from the speed sensor, but the speedometer is about 20kph slower. This is the second speedometer.

    speedometer dose not read correctly. Stuck at 50mph when vehicle is not moving

Check the Transmission Fluid I do Believe that the Sensor For the Speedo is in the Transmission

I had a cluster go bad in my 05 cavalier. same thing happened but I had a guy come out to my house and change the motors in the cluster for $100. I gave him an extra $20 on top of that but he did a great job and no problems ever since.

2003 grand caravan sport speedometer doesn't work


I have 4 dodge caravans. Everyone one of them does this we take it on the freeway get up over 60 mph and it will kick back around. I'm serious it will work fine after. Everyone can do this. I run a small taxi business and we only use dodge caravans.

Speedometer is jumping around


The speedometer cable needs lubricating. It can be removed from the bottom where it connects to transmission, coated with graphite and reinstalled.

Bad conection it's grounding some where when it shows 100mph.

2003 Camry Speedometer reads 150 mph constantly.


i would disconnect the battery again let it sit for 15 minutes, i changed an alternator and jumped the car then started driving and that happened to me, 20 minutes of driving and the computer finally kicked in and started working again. good luck
