Hello r murray: My name is Roger and I will help you. The correct adjustment for the 1.6 DOHC engine is as follows. Engine cold intake valve setting is (0.13-0.17mm) exhaust valve setting is (.23-0.27mm). Engine warmed up the valve settings are intake valves (0.17-0.21mm) exhaust valve settings are (0.28-0.32mm). I have suzuki vitara 1993 petrol engine
i have a problem with my vitara
the RPM could not stable they gone up and down
when car was running 7 to 8 km then the RPM comming very slowly to 0
and car was vibrating and check light come and car was off.
kindly tell me wt is proble
some body say they have TP SENSOR proble
some says exchange the THROTTLE BODY
some says CT Valve could not work properly.
kindly tell me the solution.

Were is crankshaft sensor suzuki 1600gv


G16B engine,s, all in USA> (not so in other countries)
under engine, front of engine, below crank pulley see that sensor.

the suzuki FSM covers this, buy one.?

Suzuki uses parts off another engine, and even fails to warn
you in the FSM , sad that.

FSM= the offical, factory service manual.. all cars have this.

computer, what computer, name it,
are you talking the scan tool ?
in the USA we have OBD2 scan tools for this car. are you in USA?
our 16pin DLC scan port is just to the lower right of steering column.
post country. some countries did not adopted OBD2 until 2006.
post engine option? 2.5L V6? what>

if you want to scan the PCM, is that it, do post country.
or all answers here will be wrong. dead wrong.

btw, i have and 06 GV 2.5L and a full factory paper FSM so can be very accurate, in my posts.
I also have the FSM on CD. and the full factory parts lists.
ask any question. on Suzuki.

What are the torque settings to tighten the head on a Suzuki G15A cylinder head and what are the tappet settings ?


3 step torque: 25 Ft-lb, 35 Ft-lb, 50 Ft-lb.
Valve lash: Both for intake and exhaust: 0.15 MM

Noisey tappets


Don't bother. They are hydraulic and rely on oil pressure to obtain a zero clearance when everything is OK. Your oil system may be sludgy or you may be using the incorrect viscosity oil.
