Question about 1997 Chevrolet Malibu
Sounds like the alternator is not charging the battery up.Charge battery for 8hrs at 2-4 amps slow charge then see if car starts if it does take a multimeter and check alternator while car is running voltage should be between 13-14.5 volts anything more or less then put a new alternator on it.
