Go to You Tube Video & see how to do a parasitic CURRENT
drain test

What you have done so far with a test light & volt meter is basically
doing nothing

You need an amp meter & a wiring diagram, then pull fuses one
at a time, to get to the circuit that causes the drain, then use the
prints to test that circuit for voltage drops

How do i change the blower motor resistor in my 2005 jeep liberty?

Dealership should have the replacement for $20 or less. Get the new one before you take the old one out so that you can see what it looks like, what to look for and how it goes in.
Removal is simple. Under the passenger side dashboard, you'll see a wiring harness that goes to a socket which is held in place by 2 screws.
Unplug the wiring harness from the connector. Remove the 2 screws and it'll drop right into your hands.
Installation is just as simple. Hold the new one in place and replace the 2 screws. Plug the wiring harness back in and you'll be good to go!

I have looked at the wiring diagrams. Most everything that runs off this fuse has a secondary fuse. The only exceptions are some relays in the same box as the fuse. It's almost like the short is right there in the box. Any chance the box got hit when dropping the assembly back in?

Use lots of wd40 on tank strap bolts. If they bigin to bind tighten them up and losen again to get rust out of threads. If you remove the straps, why not remove the fill neck and lower tank? Much easier to work that way!!!
