Use the cheapest diesel/petrol oil you can buy from supermarket and change oil every 5/6000 miles with a oil filter every third oil change ,Do not use these fancy long life oils but the cheapest you can buy and change it at the most 6000miles ,this will keep the inside of the engine clean for you so engine will last forever

I drive an Audi 1998 1.8 turbo what happens if cheap oil was thrown in what effect does it give on car.

probably not much
cheap oil --dear oil---is a matter of preference and good advertising
what does matter is the viscosity rating of the oil and the sc,sf,sa rating of the oil as it refers to the sulphur content and treatment
To set your mind at rest , change the oil and the filter as soon as you can and put in a recommended brand and viscosity
IN reality, oil is only used in an engine to keep the bearings off the shaft and the pistons off the cylinder walls and to lubricate all the moving bits
It also transfers the heat away from the metal parts
the quality of the oil relates to the amount and number of additives in the oil that have specific things to do and in a cheaper oil , they may not be in a large quantity so the oil would need changing more often

WHAT TYPE OF OIL IS BEST FOR MY ENGINE

Go by the manufacture's recommendation as far as type and weight. As far as brand, it is subjective. Any major brand should have the proper amount of additives. If you are trying to decide between synthetic and dino oil, either is good as long as you faithfully change them at the recommended intervals. With older vehicles, synthetics seem to "find leaks".

I have a 92' Ford Ranger and I need to change my oil. What is the best oil to use?

A synthetic oil like Mobil1 is the BEST, but on a truck that old, it may not be the best choice. Any oil rated SM should be OK, use a name brand 5W30, Shell, Mobil, Castrol, ect.

How often should oil be changed ?

That depends on the brand and type of synthetic you use, as well as the type of oil filter. Mobil 1 makes an extended service full synthetic, which they claim is good for 15,000 miles between changes. Amsoil full synthetic advertises 25,000 miles between changes; but only if you also install and use one of their super fine bypass oil filters, in addition to your car's regular oil filter.

Since the actual mileage you can go between oil changes is very dependent of the type of driving you do, the brand of oil you use, and the condition of your engine; there really is no hard and fast rule. That's why commercial vehicle fleets regularly take samples of their oil, and send it to laboratories for analysis to determine whether it needs changing. Sometimes it is necessary to change oil more often than expected; other times you can go longer between changes. My experience has been that, when oil is nearing the mileage where it needs changing; the rate of consumption will significantly increase. So when my car needs a quart added, it usually means it ought to be changed.

Regardless of the oil you use; if the change intervals are longer than the car manufacturers recommendations, it will void your factory engine warranty. That said; I have typically felt comfortable with 7,500 mile change intervals when using full synthetic oil of an appropriate viscosity.

I would also add that it is much safer to stay with only one brand and type of oil for the life of your vehicle; this is true for both conventional and synthetic oils. I have seen too many engines ruined by switching to a different brand or type of oil. Mobil 1 is chemically different from all the other synthetic oils, and is closer to petroleum oil in its characteristics. I prefer it for that reason. They also make a european formula 0W-40 full synthetic, which is available in the U.S, and is my preferred viscosity for all around use. It is not one of their extended service oils; but the protection is far superior to other oil grades. Not all stores carry it; but it can often be ordered from stores which carry other Mobil 1 products; and can always be bought from the local Mobil oil distributor.

Can you please give me the specific oil required for the vehicle?

5w30 conventional, minimum rating SM (all modern quality automobile oils will hold this rating). you may use any brand, try to stick to a major brand. you can also use synthetic oils, which use the same rating system, but provide further protection for your engine. hope this is helpful!

Engine oil type and module for kia sephia 2000

I recommend Valvoline 10-30. It is by far the best oil on the market. But be sure to always use the same brand because if you always change brands then the oil pan seals will break down faster. I hope this helps please rate this Thank You

Oil specfication

qhen you quiz a good auto parts store salesman all of these are in his computer system including how much. Break fluild is marked on the filler cap as the moyor oil is on the filler cap trans oil type is on the dipstick near the level line and all brands are acceptanle provided they have 97 or nrwer ratings on the bottle. In general the more the correct whieght of oil costs the better it is but the cheapest oils changed grgularly and often is better than hi dollar.

2006 Magnum Oil Consumption

First off how many miles does the vehicle have. Also what oil are you using. If its only a quart between changes then I wouldn't worry about it. If your using synthetic you may want to consider Amsoil. Its the best there is in the world.
Thanks,
Lee
