Aw, were you guys out spoofing around? Maybe moisture got into some ignition electrical connections. If it has a distributor, make sure that the inside of the distributor cap is dry. Check for a blue, snapping spark on a spark plug wire end to see if it is an ignition problem. If no spark, you will need to diagnose the ignition circuit or system.

I do not think the wiring harness needs replacing, although it may be a bad connection somewhere in a car this age. See here

If it is the old 3VZ V6 you have, it is broadly similar to a 4-cyl times 2. If it is a 1MZ v6 it may have individual coil packs on each plug, although probably not as you describe it.

Page 4 will show you the number of places a failure can prevent a spark. Try following the troubleshooting charts in this reference to track down the fault. It could for instance be a faulty igniter unit.

I have a 92 camry 4cyl. Won't fire at the sparkplug. Replaced plug wires and plugs, distributor, igniter and still won't fire. Any suggestions?

Take out a spark plug, lay the plug (with the spark plug wire attached)on the engine and turn the motor over, if it sparks, your getting fire, Try each plug, works best a night so you can see the spark.

I need a spark plug wiring diagram for a 1992 Toyota Camry, 4 cylinder, 2200 motor.

I believe your firing order is 1-3-4-2. You may see a number 1 on the distributor cap on this vehicle. That is the #1 plug wire. The wire hole next to that would go to spark plug 3 etc. Easiest way is to change wires one at a time. Hope this helped.

How to remove spark plug wires from the distributor on a 1992 camry 3.0l 6 cyl they have some sort of cover for each wire

Please don't forget to rate!

  1. Disconnect the negative battery cable.
  2. Label and disconnect the wires from each spark plug one at a time.
  3. Remove the spark plug wires from the distributor cap. On some models you may need to use a flat bladed tool to lift up the lock claw and disconnect the holder from the cap. Separate the wires at the grommet.

Make sure to remove the spark plug wires from the boot end and NOT from the wire itself

Lift up the lock claw and disconnect the holder from the cap

WARNING Do NOT pull on the plug wires to remove them, this may damage the conductor inside.

  1. Pull the plug wires from the retaining clamps.
To install:
  1. Attach the holder and grommet portion to the distributor cap. Make sure that the holder is installed correctly to the grommet and cap.

Align the spline of the cap with the spline groove of the holder

Make sure the holder is correctly installed to the grommet

  1. Check that the lock claw of the holder is engaged by lightly pulling on the holder.
  2. On the center cord, insert the grommet and holder together.
  3. Secure the wires with the clamps.

No spark in 93 toyota camry 4cyl

The Toyota 4 cylinder engines have a problem with the electronic units inside the distributor. You will need to replace the entire distributor to fix the problem. You can get aftermarket distributorsat ebay or similar sites for alot cheaper than the originals. It's an easy swap that will take about an hour to do if you are mildly mechanically inclined.
