Junkyards, craigslist, ebay are the places you can find these. it will cost more to ship than it is worth so look on local craigslist and call around to junkyards.

What prevents the spare tire from reporting pressure on a 2005 Pathfinder.

good question, don't think i have ever been asked this one.the tire pressure is monitored not by a pressure sensor inside the tire on a pathfinder but by the wheel speed, each wheel hub ( the thing the wheel bolts to ) has a speed sensor and the on-board computer is allwise monitoring the wheel speed, if one tire gets low on air it will be slightly smaller in diameter, so this will cause that one hub sensor to allwise read a slightly higher speed than all the other sensors so if the computer keeps seeing one wheel reading a little faster then all the other wheel sensors wile the car is going strate down the road it will them assume that that tire is low on air and turn on the low tire light. now some of your high doller cars do have sensors inside the tires but those cars do not have spair tires ( have you ever seen a spair on a corvett?) and those setups have specal made tires and wheels for this system.....so as you can see the spair is not bolted to a hub so the car doset care if its flat or not, but you will if you ever need it, so ckeck the air in the spair.

I have a mercedes c240 auto but the ignition wont turn seems locked

1. Some times the keys wear out. Do you have a spair key you can try.
2. Turn the steering wheel back and forth while trying to turn the key sometime the steering wheering lock will bind.
3. Now the bummer part is the ignition lock will have to come out so you can determine what part froze up.

Step by step removing and replacing the spair

Hi my name is Tom and I am here to help you.

By changing the spare tire, I am going to assume that you mean changing a flat tire using the spare tire. If I am mistaken please advise.

Locate the area where the spare tire and jack are located. You should see a lug wrench. This would be a X shaped device with closed sockets. Find the correct lug size needed for the Caravan. Loosen the lugs by turning the wrench counter clock wise. A little reminder is (lefty loosey, righty tightey)

After the lugs are loose, jack the car up using the jack provided. Near each wheel is notches which show you where to place the jack. Do not jack any further then you need to lift the car up. Keep in mind that an inflated tire is larger than a deflated.

Remove all the lug nuts and replace the flat tire with a good one. Put the lugs back on and hand tighten.
Lower the car and tighten the lug nuts firmly.

The only thing I believe I left out was removing the wheel covers. You should find in a packet with the jack a device to unlock the wheel cover. I can not tell you what it is because each car is unique.

I trust this is detailed enough for you. If not, please feel free to contact me and I will answer any questions you might have.

Please take the time to rank the information I gave you and how helpful it was. This will help me to do a better job for you and other to follow.
