1995 jeep grand cherokee larado engine code reading 34155

Hi Angela:
We cannot understand your "345155" fault code, keep in mind that 1993-1997 codes just have two digits. I suggest re-check to read and note your fault codes acdording with this read codes procedure, with out starting the engine: turn the ignition key on, off, on, off, and finally on.

The check engine light on the dash will begin to flash. The light will flash the first number of the first digit pause and flash the number of the second digit. Example: five flashes, pause, three flashes = Code 53 PCM failure or Code 54 no cam shaft position sensor signal from distributor etc, etc.

Try this and send us this fault code to send you additional detaild.

Hope this helps; also keep in mind that your feedback is important and I'll appreciate your time and consideration if you leave some testimonial comment about this answer.

Thank you for using Fixya, and have a nice day.

Illuminated symbol of engine on dashboard near speedometer. 2001 jeep grand jerokee 4wd

That would be the check engine light. The light comes on to inform you that the computer has found a fault with a sensor, actuator, or system that it monitors. The best next step for you is to find out what code(s). are stored in the computers memory. This will be done with a scan tool. A shop will usually charge a diagnostic fee to retrieve the codes and diagnose the problem.

You can try your local auto parts store to see if they can get you the codes as well. Many times they will do this for free however they are typically not diagnostic technicians. Please take what they say with a grain of salt!

Once you find out what code(s) are causing the light to come one post them here and I will be happy to help your further if I can.

pull the shifter back slowly out of park and see if it engauges before or after the reverse position this could just need an adjustment in the cable if not it's an 08 you probably still have a warranty on it i would take it to the dealer if no warranty ammco or any othyer transmission shop can run a few tests on it for a low fee

Check throttle position sensor. Specs for yours are found in any decent repair manual. If fuel filter is old, change it as well (may not fix problem but is good maintenence procedure often ignored)
