Make sure that the lights are off when you put the new fuse in.. if there is a load on the line the fuse will blew emmediatly... if they are off when you install it and it still blows when you turn them on than you have a short. time to pull out a test light

Have a 2001 road king as soon as I turn on the ignition switch the 15A fuse for the horn turn signals brake light front fender marker light speedometer blows any help would be greatly appreciated I didn't...

you have a hot wire grounding out somewhere do the simple things first you may need a couple of fuses but it save you alot so you do not have to take it somewhere to get fixed , start with the horn ,usally it would be the fender light or brake light do them first , disconnect it then put the fuse back in and see if it blows , then so on to save some fuses take the bulbs out of the turn signals and put one back in at a time to see if it blows this is the best way and easiest way to find your short ,

2001 chevy tracker ,what would cause the fuse for brake lights to blow? already tried unplugging wire harness to back of car at fuse block.

This all depends, if the fuse blows as soon as you put it in without stepping on the brake pedal then theres a dead short in the fuse box or the power wire going to the brake switch is shorting out, this 15amp fuse runs from the fuseox to brake light switch, so the short is between that but if it blow with brake pedal pushed then you said you dissconnect the rear brake light at fuse box and fuse still blows so the next step inwhich power is feed from this fuse is the following and you will need to unhook these components one at a time until short is gone. the next location is the the abs brake control module which is by the master cylinder area after that it goes to the cruise contorl servo also under the hood, then it goes to the shifter release solenoid which is very common problem, the wires melt or short out in that area, and next it goes to computer which i dont think is the problem and from there it feeds the rear lights and third brake light. hope this helps, good day.

I have a 99 Jeep Grand Cherokee Limited i have brake lights that work when i apply brakes, but as as soon as i turn my headlights on the fuse blows and i have no working tailights with the headlights on. ...

There is definitely a short in the park lights system. Did you just have a radio installed....since the illumination wire sometimes gets grounded and will cause that fuse to blow until you fix that wire.

I have no brake lights, no hazzard lights, but the signal lights work. Wiring has no breaks, but the fuse blows as soon as the brake or hazzard lights are used.

there is a short somewhere-try disconnecting all components on that circuit, put new fuse and try using one,if the fuse still blows, problem is in wiring or switch unit,if not, plug one component in and a time until the fuse blow, replace component
accordingly.make sure there is no slightly shaved wire touching the chassis, this will show when all if d/c'ed and fuse still blows, good luck

Brake Light Fuse & Gas Gauge

Start by replacing your brake light bulbs. If it still blows the fuse, them your brake pedal switch. If it still happens then you have a shot circuit in your wiring between your fuse panel and your brake lights.
