My 86 camry runs fine until I hit 40 miles an hour then it feels like it is skipping or missing..gets a little worse as I accelerate..any ideas?

Sounds like you're likely getting a misfire, possibly due to old spark plug wires or a fuel delivery issue. I recommend that you do a major tune-up on the vehicle, to include new spark plugs, spark plug wires, distributor, rotor, and ignition coil, and fuel filter. Once you have completed the major tune-up, (if carbureted) rebuild the carburetor and verify proper operation of the fuel pump (or if fuel injected) verify sufficient fuel pressure at the fuel rail and replace the fuel pressure regulator and/or the fuel pump if necessary.
Also, if your vehicle is equipped with an EGR, verify that the EGR is operating properly (as the EGR opens at 40 m.p.h. when the engine is warm, and if it is malfunctioning may be causing an issue).

My '01 impala 3.4 v-6 flat spots when COLD, at around 20mph. the idle is ruff with random misfires. acceleration is overall poor. when HOT, most symptoms go away leaving only some slight acceleration...

depending on mileage, but possible tune-up could fix it. if already done then check ignition coil pack and ignition wires also spark plugs, check vacuum hoses for leaks or porous, last injectors clogged - use some techron fuel injector cleaner (wal-mart has them). Also get the throttle body and iac valve cleaned by throttle cleaner . Also this other possibilities are to be checked and confirmed.:---- Engine running rough or misfiring can be cause by the following:

1.Defective spark plugs
2.Inadequate spark/coil, defective spark plug wire.
3. Lack of compression
4.False air leakage.
5. Faulty fuel injectors.
6. Insufficient fuel pressure.
7. Contaminated fuel.
8. EGR valve that is leaking.
9. Oxygen sensors.
10. Throttle position sensor.
11. Manifold absolute pressure sensor
12.Mass Airflow Sensor
13.Idle air control valve

--------- This should help.Keep updated.Thanks.Helpmech.

What is an ignation tune up for a 99 Merc. Gnd.

A full ignition tune up would be new spark plugs and wires.A cap and rotor if it has those. Do any fuel system cleaning before changing the plugs.

1996 Mitsubishi Montero has no power..

My 96 Pajero SWB 3.0 would loose power as soon as i accelerate. It feels like the spark plugs are miss firing or if the engine was flooded.

I did a general service which included oil change, oil filter, fuel filter, air filter, spark plugs i checked my O2 sensor, dissembled and cleaned throttle body and sensors. Cleaned air intake sensor as well as the distributer etc.

Problem not solved, still loose power when i accelerate....can it be something wrong with my ECU??

My A/C control isnt working at all. Found a 15Amp fuse that was blown but when replaced it shorts again. Where can i get a wiring diagram of the heater/a/c system for my vehicle model?

Dodge ram 1500 studdars a little bit between 35 and 45 mph

A misfire on # 8 Cylinder which can be caused by poor fuel quality or metering, low compression, lack of spark or unmetered air entering the engine.
There are other possible, less obvious causes as well.
Fuel injectors, related wiring, sensors and computer issues
Running out of gas, or poor fuel quality
Evaporative emissions system (EVAP) concerns: fuel vapors leaking into engine
Incorrect Fuel Pressure
EGR system concerns: leaking EGR valve or restricted ports
Base engine concerns: low compression, valve train problems and timing issues
Ignition system concerns including, but not limited to:
Faulty spark plugs
Faulty coil or related wiriing

I would get the Dyno tuned and see what the computer is reading 35 and 45 MPH. or you could check with your local dodge dealer to see if there was a recall or update on the Computer if there was or is any issues.
Good luck and hope this helps, Old School was so much easier.
