You can do this one of two ways.you can buy clips that you can wrap around the lines and they have holes in the ends that you can put a bolt through to fasten it to the floor with screws or if the brake lines are in good shape you can tie strap the gas lines to the brake lines and this will hold them up.

The easiest thing to use is those plastic Zip ties. Anywhere you can find a hole under the car,you can stick one of those in and around the lines and pull them up into place. Or put 2 together and wrap around the frame. They come in different lengths and sizes at the auto parts store and they are quite cheap. Hope this helps.

My first guess would be a sticking idle air control valve or idle speed motor.
Can you keep it running by shifting into neutral ?
Is it possible the EGR valve is hanging open causing a vac leak ?

Check engine light gas smell

The reason can be faulty fuel supply system. There might be any damaged fuel supply line which may be leaking the fuel. Check for the damaged pipe and repair or replace the pipe. It is not necessary that engine is burning gas fast, leak in fuel supply line may also result in more gas consuming vehicle.

Gas pedal keeps sticking like its hanging up.

You need a helper to look move the pedal up and down while you look under the hood. You may have to remove the air cleaner to see the other end of the accelerator cable at work as he moves the pedal up and down. When you see the business end of the cable you should be able to put some graphite lubricant on it and visually inspect for a problem with the return spring. If you see no hang up or spring problem you should take it to a shop.

My car gas line broke and gas gushed out

if you can get to the break in the line you can do this your self for under $15.
get a tube cutter and cut the bad section of line out next take that section to the part store and ask them for fuel injection hose This is for high pressure fuel line and will work great for you) and fuel ingection hose clamps. now just slide the hose over the line at least an inch and use two clamps on each side of the hose.start the car and make sure it didn't leak. if no kleaks make sure the line is not hanging down. if so then tie them up with zip ties and your all done.

Gas lines are leaking

The fuel ines as well as brake lines can rot. You can use compression fittings on fuel line, not on brake lines. Go to either end of the area that is leaking a look for a good section. cut the line. if there is something that you can attach it too so it does not hang down, you can even use fuel line hose. I would double clamp if you are using that hose though. Better to get two compression fitting and replace with metal if you can.

hope this helps.

Hole in the smog line that leads across the gas tank.

You should be able to put a piece of rubber fuel line over the section with a hole, clamp both ends. If it's hard to get to, run a long piece of rubber fuel line (inside diameter big enough to fit over smog line), cut the original smog line, attach new rubber fuel line over cut section, wiggle it over the tank to other side where you can cut original line again, and attach both ends with hose clamps. Let me know how it goes, it should work, you can even go around the tank front or back, just make sure you use zip ties or something to keep the hose from hanging down.
