You could have an injector problems(dirt)you may need to have the fuel system cleaned including the injectors and may have to replace the injectors.

99 rx 300 I have trouble codes p0300, p0301, p0303, p0305, po172, and p0171.Stomped

codes p 0300 through refer to misfires on each cylinder with the end number ( 301 is no 1 cylinder , 302 is no 2 cylinder ans so on)=== causes --engine mechanical fault , ---wiring---ignition/ fuel ---injector/s---ECT/ MAF sensor/s ---ECM
most misfires are from injector faults like dirty/blocked tips, low fuel pressure , no pulse or problem pulse from ECM rather than plugs and wires and coils
codes p0171 refers to system to lean bank 1===causes ---intake exhaust leak---air system---maf/vaf sensors ---fuel pressure / pump---injectors ---heated oxygen sensor ( HO2S)
code p 0172 is system to rich-====causes ---intake blocked ---EVAP cannister purge valve ---fuel pressure --EGR system---injector/s ---HO2S
couple these two codes with the misfire codes , I suggest you look at the injectors, fuel pressure (too low) from EVAP problem not venting tank, fuel pressure regulator, EGR system

My check engine light is on. it is pulling 4 codes P0302 P1670 P0174 P0171

code p 0302 is a misfire on no 2 cylinder
check that the plug lead is on properly, that the lead is operational
move the injector from 2 to another cylinder and see if the misfire follows the move
code p 0174 refers to system too lean bank 2===causes intake /exhaust leak---fuel pressure / pump---injector/s--AIR system--hose connection/s
code p 0171 refers to system too lean bank 1=== causes intake /exhaust leak---AIR system---MAF/VAF sensors---fuel pressure / pump---injector/s -- HO2S
You stated that you replaced the O2 sensor but that is different to the HO2S sensor , does a different job and controls the air/fuel mixture from the ECM
because it has banks 1 and 2 it is a v engine and you will have a HO2S in the exhaust manifold or before the cat converter for each exhaust
O2 sensors are after the cat converter and confirm the HO2S settings for the ECM
to put the lights out , use a scan tool to reset the ECM

P0171 possible cheap fix

What is code p0101/p0300/p0171

code p0101 refers to MAF sensor and VAF sensor--range /performance problems===causes --intake leakage/blockage ---MAF/VAF sensor failure.

code p0300 refers to random misfires multiple cylinders ---causes --spark plugs /HT leads --injector /s-- ignition coil/ s--low compression ---wiring

check fuel pressure in manifold and HT leads

code p0171 refers to system too lean bank 1 ===causes --intake /exhaust air leak---AIR system---MAF/VAF sensors ---fuel pressure /pump---injectors ---HO2S sensor

Basically there are two codes referring to the MAF/VAF sensors so check them out and two codes referring to fuel pressure and pump so have a pressure test done on the fuel manifold to determine if pump or pressure regulator.

System to lean bank, manufacturer control fuel air metering, cylinder misfire detected

Intake or vacum leak will be the first codes 174,171, try idle and spray propane around intake if car idles up, then intake is leaking, otherwise could be a broken vacum line, check with a gauge

Fault codes P0355, P0171, P0174 on ford expedition 2001 what do i need to fix

The P0355 code is, "Ignition Coil E Primary/Secondary Circuit Malfunction" this has to do with the coil(s) and the coil may be going bad, or you have a bad wire / plug (connection) to the coil. P0171 is "System Too Lean (Bank 1)" and P0174 is " System Too Lean (Bank 2)" . The P017X codes mean your ox2 sensors are picking up a lean burn condition. Engine running to warm (hot) or your coolant temp sensor is not reading right or one of the ox2 sensors (Bank 1) is going bad. Hard to trouble shoot this from my computer desk.

Replaced plugs & wires. All plugs on left bank were covered in soot. Right was fine. Code read it. and codes came up. #1: Multiple misfire. #2. Burning lean. Erased the codes & they came up again...

actual codes would help more, but lean is usually a vacuum leak, possibly a dirty/bad MAP sensor (although that would be if you had lean both sides)-look for a leaking/broken vacuum line, or an intake manifold leak (use a can of carb cleaner and spray the top of the engine on the lean side).

2003 Ford Ranger 4x4 extended cab- diagnostics checked and got these codes- P0171, P0174, P0300, P0316. Can you tell me what they mean?

P0171------ system too lean bank#1
Po174------ system too lean bank#2
For these 2 codes, try cleaning the maf sensor (mass air flow), that is mounted in the big black hose that goes from the air filter housing to the throttle plate, if it is dirty, that will cause those 02 sensors to send a signal to the computor to lean the air fuel mixture. If cleaning it doesn't work, the sensors will probably need changing.
P0300---- Random/multiple cylinder misfire
P0316---- Cylinder misfire at start up---- first 100 revolutions.
On those 2 codes, you have to do some testing to find out why there is a misfire.
Possible causes:
dirty/malfunctioning injectors
weak coil pack
fowling spark plugs/wires
Low fuel pressure

2001 Ford Windstar, check engine light has been on for a while, but started flashing last night. It ran out of oil in 1 month's time. Brand new transmission 1 month ago, they told us that it had lean...

if the light is flashing it most like hasly some sort of misfire or converter failure, p0171 and p0174 is lean bank 1 and 2, replace you upper and lower plenum gaskets, while they have they off have they replace your ignition coil, plugs and wires, windstars are known for 2 things, lean codes,(plenum gaskets) misfire(bad ignition coil)

2004 F150 5.4L engine misfire

The concern is likely caused by the coil which sits on top of the spark plug. Your P0301 indicated misfire on cylinder 1. Your P0316 indicated it occurs on the first 1000 revolutions. Your P0171 indicated lean on bank one. Bank one includes cylinders 1,2,3 and 4. Your lean code is strange but could be related to misfire. I would recommend swap the coil on number one with number two. Clear the code and drive it. I would expect to see a P0302 which indicates the misfire traveled with bad coil. good luck.
