Where is the AIT sensor on a 2003 Ford E250. V8 4.6l

2004 Explorer Replaced Alternator, but car idle still not right, stalls, ck engine light still on. Car lights when dim and then car died. Mechanic said it was the alternator. Alternator replaced. Car...

You need to put a scanner on the truck and see if any codes are set and if so of course repair them and then clear the codes in the computer with the scanner. I would check the idle air control and the throttle position sensor. I would also check the alternator by starting the truck and then taking off the positive battery cable and the truck should continue to run. If not the alternator that was put on is bad.

Hello people i got a gmc 99 jimmy 2door sls the engine light keeps coming on then going out ive coded it to be an iat sensor and also says the iat sensor intermitten voltage high and then the knock sensor...

the IAT may be bad or the connector is bad, real common (friend should know to check that) get a real scanner and see what the IAT is reading, then move the connector and see if it changes. if it reads -40f then its bad or disconnected.

I put my ford explorer on a it reads po113its a 99 can you tell me what the code stands for

p0113 is IAT curcuit # 1, change iat sensor. it is in air hose from air filter to throttle body. check the wiring for sensor also. I just changed mine on a 2000 malibu and it cost less then $20.00. have a good day !!

Yes, I'm trying to find the ait sensor on my 1996 ford explorer. Can you tell me where it is located, or the position where it is at?

You mean IAT, right? Intake Air Temp? depends on which motor you have. I have a couple diagrams below:

4.0 SOHC: on back side of intake hose

5 liter: on top of the hose

The CEL is on and codes that came up on scan are P171 & P174, replaced O2 sensors and it has not changed what next?

There is an Intake Air Temperature (IAT) sensor mounted in or near the air filter housing. This is a simple thermistor sensor that helps the PCM determine the air temperature of the air entering the air filter and ultimately the engine intake. Sounds like you might have a faulty IAT sensor or a wiring issue for the IAT sensor.
