Question about Chevrolet Cavalier

1 Answer

Grinding noise and vibration coming from passenger front during acceleration. Fades away after getting to a steady speed and is louder with heavier acceleration. Halfshaft was replaced new a few months ago and didn't solve problem so c/v joint is not a possibility and not getting any usual noise to indicate a bad wheel bearing. Any thoughts would be appreciated

2003 Mitsubishi Outlander Grating Noise, Front Struts?

It very well could be the strut.
smaller chance could be the CV axle.
Also have the splash guards/heat shields checked to make sure they are all tight in place.

Whining noise progressively gets louder with speed

One wheel turning faster than the other is normal if both wheels are off the ground. If one wheel is dragging when the other wheel is on the ground, it could be brakes or a wheel hub bearing.
Usually if the noise happens on right turns, the left hub bearing is failing, and vice versa.

I accelerate my 2000 neon, and it vibrates and get grinding noise

Check the front drive axles and boots. A bad cv (constant velocity) joint can cause this.

Thumping at front passenger wheel area

if the noise isassociated with "wheel speed" then it is in the rolling parts... axle hub bearing brake rotor caliper wheel or tires...if it goes away on right turns then you are unloading or separating the issue then...so a hub /wheel bearing /axle issue is most likely...does your brake pedal pulse when you feel it..(riding the brake while driving)..does the steering wheel shimmy ?
