Question about Chevrolet 2500
No gears or speedo cable in this setup, it is all electronic. I purchased a rebuilt unit through e-bay and have been very happy. It had all new stepper motors installed, new lamps and even a transmission temperature gauge.

Hi there im a mechanic and i have just had this problem with one of our fleet trucks like this, i looked at it with our gm scan tool and nothing came up so i went to the speed sensors which there are 3 all located along the left side of the transmission and i test them for high resistance and the middle sensor failed, replaced sensor, disconnected batteries, reconnected started truck up and it was fixed. hope it helps!!
