To get to the crank sensor on a 320d you need to remove intake manifold then the starter you will then find a plug and a small 5mm allen key bolt angled toward the flywheel losen that and that is the crank sensor.

SOURCE: BMW recharge battery with a car

not recomended, because your car and the other one has computers, take your cables off your battery both of them, negative and positive, this is very important so you will not damage your ESU. or damage the othe cars ESU. connect jumpercables from your other car to your battery, turn on the other car, let car idle for about a half hour, to fully charge your battery provided your battery is in good shape. remove cables from your car and the other car, attach your cables back to your battery than start, DON NOT start your car with other car still attached to you battery, you are risking blowing the ESU on your other car. and damaging your ESU. estimaternotfree@yahoo.com

SOURCE: BMW 320d 2005 Brake pad warning light reset

What it sounds like to me is that they didn't replace the "brake sensors" when they did the job. They are a seperate part and if whomever changed your brakes didn't charge you, I think like $20, for the part, then that's the problem.

SOURCE: bmw 320d e46 2001 orange brake wornin light stay

the way to reset the brake light is to turn the key to "on" without turning the car on. Let it sit there for 15-30 seconds and the light should go off by itself. If not, double check how you have the sensors hooked up.

I have a 99 BMW ROADSTER and I have changed

If there is a code for the Air Mass Sensor I would recommend replacing it. Also a common problem is the intake cam sensor going bad and not giving a fault but will cause the car to stall.

I have a 1993 bmw 325i and a need to change a crank position sensor and i just want to know How do you replace the crank sensor on a BMW?

Hi the crank shaft sensor is located just above the front pulley at the front of the engine and is held in place be a 5mm hex bolt, undo this and remove the sensor then you will need to follow the wire that dissapears under the intake manifold and unplug the multiplug, replacement is the reverse, regards mark

My bmw 318 model 318 does take long when to start cold

maybe the crank position sensor, long starts are usually due to the fact the computer doesn't know where the NO.1 cylinder is, so he fires at random and eventually he nails it, therefore the car starts.

The crank position sensor tells the computer where the NO.1 piston is at and he knows when to send the spark, but u should have a check engine light on in this case.

1996 BMW i 328 won't start

hello, check for a damage crank position sensor this sensor sends the singnal to the dme (digital motor electronics ) to inject fuel and pulse the ing coils and will also start the fuel pump when it see a rpm above 500 this is a good tell sing if you crank the engine and the rpm does not jump there is a good chance that the crank posistion sensor is bad / the battery and engine light will be on untill the engine strarts
