sorry about the first post it was a test to make sure the link was working, fixya has been having some problem with there sight, we have been unable to post an answer to your question because of the technical problems, i tried several times to answer you question yesterday but was unable to post a answer.

so with all that said hear we go with you question on the 2005 nissan.

I an not sure you are having a transmission problem, what you are describing is an engine miss fire, so lets try a few things before we condemn the transmission.

1st is the problem only when you are holding the car a steady speed? or when you are at a steady speed and start to go up a grad? if this is the case and i think is as that is what i am getting from your post.

if this is indeed the case then next time the car does this manually shift the transmission out of overdrive and see if the problem goes away, what i am having you do is increase the engine rpm to get the engine into a different power mode, if the problem goes away then you most likely are having and engine miss fire under load, it is a pretty common problem and is most likely caused by a bad sparkplug or plug wire or ignition coil, and a good old fashioned tune up will cure the problem, but if the problem presets even after trying the things i have suggested please get back with me and i will try to talk you threw testing the transmission.

Slipping out of gear

check fluid levels add if low..retry the car and see also if the fluid is brown and dirty when you check it..change the fluid and filter in the trans mission and it should work ok also look at any vacuum lines that run down to the transmission see if they are good..

1990 f150 automatic with overdrive shifts only at high rpms

Kinda sounds like it works when fluid is thick and not after it warms up. If it has been awhile since trans fluid and filter were changed it is the most simple thing to change. The torque converter is a big pump, it may be going and not providing enough pressure. This could be checked on most transmissions by a shop expert. Sometimes pressure can be adjusted externally.

When a'm driving down the road it acts like the transmition won't to jump out of gear kinda vibrates you can let up on the gas it's is ok or you can give the gas and it's ok it's a automatic transmition.

Welcome to Fixya

Common indication of transmission problems happens when the transmission jumps out of gear while moving. Most noticeably, the linkage jumping problems will occur from the reverse position. Jumping out of gear indicates that the linkage holding the gears can be worn or broken. Often the gears will return to normal when the car is put back into first gear, but the transmission should be checked, because the slippage could be the beginning of serious problems that won't allow the gears to shift at all. Here's a link for you to diagnose transmission problems.

My truck idles fine when i put in gear it runs for vabout 1 block then it act like it is not geting any gas if you wait for a little bit it acts fine for about 1 block

It sounds like the fuel filter needs to be replaced. It sounds like it is partially clogged and cannot let enough fuel through for regular use and speed.

Transit tdci 5 speed box misses 3rd gear when changing down the gear box, changing up generally ok. does not jump out of gear. What might it be? Lee

If its a front wheel drive, they have a lot of trouble with the gearchange cables going out of adjustment or require replacement.
