?????
sorry about the first post, but i was testing the link to make sure it was working, fixya has been having some problems with the sight, we have not been able to post an answer to you question do to the technical problems on the sight, i tried to answer your question several times yesterday but was unable to do to the technical problems.
so with all that said lets get to you 1992 cadillac.
what you are describing is a stuck governor in the transmission, but i do have a question can you manually shift the gears? what i mean is if you put the shifter in low range and take off then move the shifter threw the gears manually will the transmission shift? if it dies then it is probably just a stuck governor, and you might be able to just service the transmission and fix the problem, you service this transmission by removing the transmission oil pan and replacing the internal oil filter then refiling the transmission with new ATF and a qt if transX ( it is like miracle juice in a can ) it take the transX around 100 miles to start working it magic, if after a 100 miles or so the problem has not gone away, of if you can not shift threw the gears manually then you most likely will have to replace the transmission, but don't give up hope yet give the transX a chance it is a great product, we use it almost daily in our shop.
if there is any thing else i can do for please let me know.

There is only two cables that run to the throttle body. One is the accelerator pedal cable, and the other is the cruise control cable. Is there anything else that could cause this problem.
I figured out what the problem was. The modulator on the tranny and the seal around it were worn out.
I will try this and let you know if this works.
