You need new O2 SENSORS. You can take it to autozone and have it scanned.

The idle on my 98 Isuzu Rodeo shoots up AFTER driving for awhile, then goes back to normal after killing the engine for awhile. Need some troubleshooting suggestions. Thanks

You more than likely have a idler sensor bad. It could also be a O2 sensor. Is your check engine light on ? If so, you can take it to Auto Zone and they will check it for you for free.

Where do i find all my oxygen sensors on my april 1993 isuzu rodeo?

The O2 sensors are located in the exhaust pipe just off the exhaust manifold. Here is a picture of your particular O2 sensor, some are slightly different looking it depends on the manufacturer. You will need to get under the truck to replace the sensor it takes a special 7/8" O2 sensor socket, about $5 from Autozone.

Consuming too much fuel.....O2 light on

The O2 sensor is reading the exhaust as being too lean and is telling the computer to add more gas to the mix.
The first thing to do is check the exhaust system for leaks between the sensor and the engine. You are looking for small black streaks at joints. With the engine running run your hand close to the pipes and feel for air coming out. Repair any leaks first. Then check the wire harness for the O2 sensor by hand looking for bare or broken wires. Anywhere wires are rubbing against each other or on the body. Tape them up if you find anyand make sure there is no corrosion on the plug- ins.
If this is okay then I would replace the sensor. Hope this helps.

1991 isuzu rodeo o2 dash light is stuck on

The O2 sensor needs to be replaced. There is a screw on the back side of the instrument panel that is removed and switched to another hole in the circuit board to reset the light for another 90,000 miles. Only a shop manual will have the exact location. You can try and obtain one from http://www.helm.com and buy one using print on demand.

Rear Anti Lock & Brake indicator lights come on

There is a sensor on top of rearend housing. Remove it and clean off the debris (will be fine metallic particles)-replace sensor-reset the computer (disconnect battery power for a few moments-reconnect battery-you're done. If this does not work-you'll have to replace the sensor.

My Isuzu Rodeo O2 sensor light is on and I would like to fix the problem.Could anyone tell me where is that sensor located at?

There's also a circuit on the back of the instrument panel that causes the O2 lamp to light every so many miles- I guess its a way to remind you to change the sensor. To re-set the O2 warning circuit, you must remove the instrument panel and locate a set screw on the back of the green circuit board. Remove the screw from the receptacle it's in and relocate it to the receptacle next to it. This will re-set the warning light.

I would say that your o2 sensors are faulty either the pre or the post . They must be intermitten so I would replace both

O2 sensor

There should be a reset switch that turns the light off. Some vehicles require a code scanner tool to reset the check engine light. On some Isuzu models you have to remove the instrument cluster and move a screw from one hole marked KSW to another hole with the same KSW marking (it may have tape over the second screw hole). Other Isuzu models may have a small switch on teh back of the instrument cluster or may have a different marking on the screw holes (some were marked wit the letter B on both holes). The O2 light usually comes on at 90,000 mile increments which is when Isuzu recommends changing it.
