You possibly have a bad ground wire due to corrosion on battery cables. Remove both positive and negative cables from battery, inspect for corrosion and clean with a wire brush, then install with a corrosion block. Tighten both terminals as to leave no play. If you have any play and are able to move by hand then you will need to replace the terminals as you will not have a good connection and thus causing no power for engine starting and running.

Check for 12 volts ar the battery if it has anything less than 12 volts its your battery. If you can jump start it check the alternator with a volt meter and if it does'nt have between 13 - 14.5 volts its your alternator that needs replaced.

Sounds like you have a grounding problem. Check your ground wiring at the battery terminal as well as follow it down to where it is grounded on the engine. common problem but gets me every time. I hope this helps and good luck.

Why does nothing happens when key is turned to start?

You have a faulty ignition switch relay. It's responsible for using a low voltage signal (key in start position) to send full battery power to your starting circuit.

1999 Crown turned ignition switch to start - heard pop - no electrical power

If nothing works including the lights, something happened between the battery and the fuse box.
There are some fuseable links between the battery and the starter solenoid or between the solenoid and the fuse box.
I'd start with the battery cables and look for those fuseable link wires.

I have a dodge ram b250 1994 needed a new batt went and bought one after i put it in the van is completely dead no lights no nothing so its not the batt checked all the cables even put the old batt in...

I have found that sometimes if the starter wire that is attached to the starter is loss it can cause you to have no electric power to anything. Hope this helps. Also Check all fuses inside and outside the vehicle. But first check the starter wires. They can be found going from the Hot post of the battery down to the starter. Hope this helps.
