The radio in my 2003 Suzuki Vitara has power but does not comes on factory or aftermarket

Sounds like either the speakers are shot, missing or not hooked up.

Radio wont turn on.

You have a power wire going to your on off switch you should also have a power going to a memory wire to keep your stations and clock intact.

Hi Jamie, Here's an old trick which you may find useful. Take a run down flashlight cell and confirm the wiring to the speakers by holding the earthing line of the speaker cable to the negative and flash the positive side with the feed to the speaker one at a time. With each swipe you will hear a thump from each speaker as you connect and disconnect. In that way you can confirm the cables are the ones you are connecting. Color coding is not always the same. Use a voltage test meter to confirm the constant power and ignition power and don't forget to earth the set once all other connections have been made, Withour an earth it won't work, but you know that anyway. No power to radio pontiac grand am 2004

Do you know how to do automotive electrical testing ? Following wiring diagrams , checking B+ voltage at different points along the circuit . Did you use a interface module with the aftermarket radio ? The GM radio is hooked to the class 2 serial data network . Your best bet , take it to a qualified installer .

What I do after putting wrong code

If the fuses are good then there may of been a chance that he also messed up some of the wires just riping it out. Is it a aftermarket radio that you are trying to install? You can but wire harnesses that make installing new head units easier. The radio you are trying to hook up may not work at all either. Check the fuses then make sure the wires even the ones deep in the dash are still okay and not messed up from him just yanking the radio out. Good luck

My daughter has a 98 olds 88 i removed the stock stereo and put in a pioneer cd player but i didnt see any wire on the stereo side for the elec. antenna i was wondering how i can wire it to work

Most aftermarket pioneer cd/radio decks have the electrical connector for the antenna that I've seen.

Is this a cd only deck, or does it have radio functions?

Did you use a new harness wiring adapter to get the pioneer radio to work with the old harness?
There should be a color coded set of wires for the power antenna on that. And, then the Pioneer radio should have wires that were labeled for the power antenna.

I tried to install an aftermarket stereo in my 2005 jeep grand cherokee but it didnt work because i had the wrong wiring harness. but when i tried to put the factory stereo back in it wouldnt work either....

Check that the yellow and the red wires have power while accessories is on, using a test light or multimeter. If they both have power, check earth connection.

Tried to put an aftermarket radio.

Hello, If you haven't cut any wires you really don't need to. They make a plug that you can get at wally world for about $15. It makes a clean installation and when you get ready to sell the envoy you will be able to replace the aftermarket back with the stock radio. It will make the wiring simple and easy also has an adapter for the antenna. Please rate my answer, Thank you.

Installed stereo exposed wire shorted out clock and radio

Most aftermarket radios have an inline glass fuse installed on the power leads usually in a white or black holder. I would probably check these first then check to supply from the vehicle itself.
