Question about 2003 Chevrolet Impala

2 Answers

My headlights go out on me and won't come back on for at least 20 min- 30 min. It has done it to me before but I had my high beam only the first time it did it. I had the dimmer switch replaced and about a month later it did it again.

You definatly have an electrical issue. The headlight combination switch has a history of failures along with the dimmer switch. There also have been issues with different buttons causing the headelights to go out. What you need to do is contact GM customer service and let them know about this, there are service bullitens for these issue. You can try the local dealer but be very insistant that they get to the bottom of this, your safety is at risk. You might want to emphisize that with them to tget their attention. One month warranty on this is crazy, they must honor the repair they did the first time as it did not fix the issue. If they won't work with you then you need to get it fixed by a repitable dealer or shop that can find the issue and fix it, then bill the person whom fixed it the last time for you, or get an attorney.

Headlight issue on a 99 Audi A4 1.8T

Your headlight switch has overheated and failed. It's common. The switch is $158 new and replacement requires airbag and steering wheel removal.
