On a 1998 Ford Econoline E-150, it has electric door locks. The side door and the back door lock does not work. Everything else in the van works. Where do I start looking besides fuse #4 and #5.

On a 2003 Ford E250 Econoline van with electric door locks...is it possible to disconnect the rear and side cargo doors from being electrically controlled so that only a key can open them? How would I do...

Hi! Yes its possible if manual you want it to be. Try this, If the cargo doors have separate fuse from the fuse box then just remove the fuse and it would work manually. If you wont find the door fuse then you should work on the door manually. Open the cargo door trimming and you will find a motor inside the door. The motor has a connector that leads to the lock. Remove the connector to cut the power supply to the motor and you'll be on manual now. Hope this helps and have a good one!

The only place that is going to have a part is the dealer. They have schematics for every part of the vehicle. Your going to have to go there and get your answers. Getting the part is the first step

Need detailed diagram of 1998 latch mechanism to remove connections from it

there is no diagram... the latch is also a non-servicable latch, so if your problems in the latch- it needs a latch. i would look more closely at the outside door handle itself as i have seen a few of them break on the E series vans.you may be able to get detailed instructions thru autozone.com or @ autozone. hope this helps and good luck

Got a PO118 code for my 1996 ford Econo 150 van.

I work for Ford and have never seen this code, but the sensor must be on the fuel rail on the top of the engine, vans have a hot stall/hessitation issue from vapor lock, maybe this is part of the fix.
