You should check your EGR Valve along with cleaning the EGR port in the intake manifold. you can get it checked for free at autozone. this should be done about every 40k miles

Take the mass air sensor off and clean the elements that are exposed to the air flow. You can use brake clean to clean it.Just hold the sensor so none of the cleaner gets inside of it.You can also, while its idling tap the mass air sensor gently with a screwdriver handle and see if the engine stumbles...Good Luck!!!

You will get a puddle on the Floor soon if you dont have it already. They are a little work in a Grand Marquis.. But better to do that than to Blow a Head Gasket and Warp the head

97 mercury grand marquis wont start after warming up

You need to determine if it is fuel related or spark related. I have seen everything from a pick up screen in the tank to a crankshaft position sensor. Check the fuel pressure when the no start condition occurs, check for spark at the coils. Does all your electrical equipment in the car loose memory?

Is their a opening to were u can reomve the ful pump with out drooping the tank

I don't know about this model. Some cars have it, some don't. Go to your Jeep dealer's parts dept, ask them. They should have a diagram that will show where/how to remove this panel (if it has one).

Air flow changes by itself from panel to defrost to floor vent. my vehicle is a 2006 merc. grand marquis

the vaccumm motors that actuate the mode doors are vaccumm driven.
if at idle all is ok then under accelleration mode doors change then there is a vaccumm leak in the system. look for a steel can (coffee Can) under the hood. trace the vacumm lines from there.

How do I adjust the linkage on my 1995 Mercury Grand Marquis shifter is sloppy

The bolts loosen up on the bracket that holds the shifter shaft to the cable. Look up from the floor board and look above the steering column in the shift cable area. Wiggle the shifter and you should see the problem. Tighten the bolts with a torx bit.

Break peddle goes all the way to the floor

Fill the master cylinder with brake fluild unless its already full. f it was low or empty the system is leaking somewhere. If it's full it's a whole different story. You didn't say anything about warning lightsd on how long has it been this way and even thogh the pedal goes to the floor doesit still stop?
