Take a small piece of wood 1"x 3" x about 4" long and place inside door jam at hinge , slowly close door until it puts pressure on wood,... push door shut gently and remove wood and try shutting door , this is what they call redneck auto body. to do it right you will need to remove hinge and add washers to back side of hinge plate so it moves hinge out thus pushing door alignment back if hinge is welded on add washers to door side where hinges attach to door.

The passanger door on my 98' Jetta GT will not open from the inside. It will open from the outside but it appears that the door handle on the inside will not work

Hi there?
I'm affraid you will have to take the door pannel off and inspect the cable from the handle to the latch. Sometime the end of the handle breaks off and will not pull the cable to open the door....
Good luck....

My passenger door sensor is not working right. It shows that the door is open when it is not. I did not think it was a big deal until the other night we were driving and the interior lights started to...

I'm not sure which passanger door you're taking about, but i'll assume it's the front passanger door. What I think is happening is that the passanger door's not pushing the Door Switch all the way down when it's close cause the light to stay on.

First check to see if the door switch(to see the switch, open passanger door and it located lower left coner. see picture below) is work by push on. The interior light should go out when push down and on when release.
k42282_35.jpg -If switch is not working, replace door switch.
-if switch is working, adjust passanger door inward by loosing the door striker(A) bolts(B) and tipping it with a hammer. Adjust until door open/close proplery and light stay off when door is close.

Need to know the location of suspension switch to 2006 lincoln navigator.

The air bag suspension switch is located in the front passenger kick pannel. Use a light and get down where the front passengers feet go you will see a little red switch farther forward on the right hand side against the outside pannel.

How to remove rear seat back 1987 mustang convertable?

Tools Required:
  • 3/8 inch Drive Ratchet
  • 3/8 inch Drive 3” Extension
  • 3/8 inch Drive 10mm Socket
  • 3/8 inch Drive 13mm Socket
  • T-50 Torx Bit
  • 1/4 inch Allen Wrench
  • 3/16 inch Allen Wrench
  • 1/2 inch Wrench
  • Drill Motor
  • 1/8 inch Drill Bit
  • 5/16 inch Drill Bit
  • 2 inch Hole Saw
  • Trim Tool (Fork Tool)
  • Electrical Tape
  • Center Punch
  • Hammer
------------------- Installation:

Remove Back Seat:
  1. Locate the retainers securing the seat bottom into the vehicle, approximately 10 inches from the end of the cushion, either side. Use your thumb to push in retainer release tab. Lift the seat up to remove.
  2. Remove the two 13mm screws securing the seat back, located on each lower corner. Lift seat upward to release seat back from brackets at the top. You can carefully prop the seat back under the retracted top , use caution if choosing this method not to damage or scratch the vinyl of the seat. You can remove the seat from the vehicle completely by disengaging the flanges securing the top of the rear seat to the fabric of the convertible top well .
  3. Remove Quarter Trim Panels:
    1. Grip the Quarter Trim Panel Cap at the shoulder strap opening and lift up to dislodge the retaining clips.
    2. The inside Quarter Trim Panels are two-piece panels. Remove the upper portion of the Quarter Trim Panel from the vehicle; it is not necessary to remove the lower portion. Pull the forward edge of the trim Panel over the pinch weld in the doorjamb.
    3. Use a Door Trim Tool (Fork Tool) to dislodge the pushpin retainer at the rear edge of the Trim Panel approximately 4” down from the top, pry Trim Panel toward the outside of car to release retainer.
