I have a 1991 Dodge caravan 3.3L I had a fuel delivery problem, cleaned out fuel tank, changed fuel filter and fuel pump. It still wasn't running right. Then it sat for 4 years. I just bought a crankshaft...

Changing the oil nor the radiator flush will have nothing to do with getting it started but changing the oil is just good sense before you try to start it. Does it crank over? Do you have spark? Have you pulled the plugs to see if they're fouled since you had bad fuel. I'd start there unless there is something that leads you to believe it is a crank or cam sensor as they can certainly be a culprit.

What type of oil do you recommend for my 2005 6.6 Durmax. And should I change the fuel filter at every oil change.

Rotella T 15w40 is the standard for diesel engines. I would highly recommend changing the fuel filter every oil change.

207cc 1.6 Gt Fuel Filter location

What do want to change the fuel filter for they never need changing here in europe as the fuel delivery pumps in the fuel stations have micronic filters inside the pumps ,europeon law so it shouldnt need changing unless it corrodes away that is if its a metal casing .Their is a gauze filter on the fuel pump inside the tank but if this motror runs ok leave well alone and stop playing around trying to a boy racer sunday mechanic job ,change the oil every 5/6000 miles with a oil filter every third oil change and use the cheapest diesel/petrol engine oil you buy ,gap the plugs every other oil change and it will run like a dream ,stick to putting a boom boom box in and stick go faster stripe and leave it alone

Going 50 speedometer shows 90 on grand prix 06

Tire size been changed, different transmission or differiential changed is the most common cause for that. If that's the case and you can find what the changed item came out - make, year, model, etc. and get the gear off the end of the speedometer where it goes into the transmission and put it in yours it should work ok. You have a different gear ratio and have to compasate for it with the speed o meter gears.

I have a 86 ford f-250 w/ a carbed 460.no fuel to carb. was told i had very low oil pressure.would changing oilpump and assending unit fix my propblem? do i have to pull motor to change oilpump? what...

If you're not getting fuel to the carburetor, check/change your fuel filter, check the fuel pump. And for the oil pressure you can change the oil pressure sending unit to see if thats the problem, for the oil pump the oil pan has to come off, it can be changed without pulling the engine, however you still have to lift the engine up.

I have a 2003 Olds Alero. Last week the oil change light came on. That same day, it suddenly started running rough when idling. Things I've done to try to fix the problem: * Fuel pump was replaced...

Is the check engine light on? I'm sure changing the oil had nothing to do with how the vehicle is running now unless they didn't replace the oil drain plug or added enough oil.

The most critical things in owning a diesel are the air and fuel filters. Irregardless of what the owner's manual may say change the fuel filters at least twice a year, spring and fall because the oil companies change their additives in the fuel twice a tear. The air filter should be done at least once a year. Keep a close eye on the water in fuel warning and fix it when it shows up, your owner's manual should have the steps to take. Most diesel's call for 15-40 diesel oil, there's no reason not to stay with it. Pick up a copy of Haynes Diesel Engine Repair Manual, part # 10330.It will save you a lot of time, money and headaches. It costs about $20 at the auto parts store.
Before you make any decisions to start tinkering with it to increase power do your research. Diesel's work well because everything is balanced and even though supplier's may claim you won't have to change anything else, don't bet on it. Bank's is a reliable authority on diesel performance to judge decisions on. Hope this helps.

Fuel contamination, what do i need to do to repair?

basically, no matter what contaminated it, you gotta clean it out. even water. worst case is drop the tank, empty and flush with clean fuel. replace tank, replace all filters, disconnect the fuel line at the engine end and turn on and flush with clean fuel... and hopefully your fuel injectors survived. if just water, they will probably be fine. if something like sugar was dumped in your tank, that is not fine. change your oil and oil filter too. and cross your fingers.. in fact change your oil again after one day. and cross your fingers again... maybe even a third time... and you know what to do next ... sugar is bad bad bad for engines. if it got in the crank bearings cam bearings, into the push rods, lifters, on and on and on, its like pouring sand inside the engine.
