SOURCE: 1998 Pontiac transport van wont start:

Well you hit all the major ones, could be crank position sensor, ignition module, a bad coil pack (it should have 3), you need to check that you have spark to each plug while the engine is turning over (!!!be careful as this will hurt if you get shocked!!!), this will rule out coil packs. if you have no spark to any plug your looking at a bad ingnition module (which is what the coil packs bolt to). Hope this gets you on the right track!

HOW TO CHANGE SPARK PLUGS 2003 CHEVROLET VENTURE VAN

Take the 2 engine mount bars off at the rad support then pull the motor forward (rocking the motor forward) to gain access to the rear plugs.BUY A SPARK PLUG WIRE SET and change that too,one at a time. The spark plug wires are usually stuck on the plugs and can be damaged removing them,PLUS you do not ever want to go back there again!.Use a come along to rock the engine forward.

My 2001 chevy venture van has a misfire as i drive what could be the problem

THESE VAN ARE KNOW FOR INTAKE GASKETS LEAKING INTERNALLY,CAUSING A MIS-FIRE. LOOK UNDER THROTTLE BODY AREA FOR COOLANT LAYING IN THE GULLY IF YOU SEE ANYTHING REPLACE INTAKE GASKETS FIRST. IF NOTHING IS LEAKING SPRAY SOME SOAPY WATER ON THE SPARK PLUG WIRES WHILE THE ENGINE IS RUNNING AND CHECK FOR ARCHING, IF ARCHING IS FOUND REPLACE THE PLUGS AND WIRES.

I have a 1999 Chevy Venture van. How do I get to the back/bottom 3 spark plugs to change them? I have alread changed the front/top 3 plugs?

Pull out the 2 long bolts that hold your motor mounts together, and then carefully jack the rear of your motor up from the bottom by the oil pan. You should now have enough room to wiggle your ratchet back there.

I have a 1998 chevy venture mini van...... Seams to be miss firing on two cylinders we replaced the crankshaft sensor... The computer is showing po300 and po 336... Any ideas thank you

This is usually caused by carbon traces in the spark plug connector. You must pull the boot off of the spark plug and look down the boot for the carbon trace.
Do not pull the boot off of the plug by the wire as this will seperate the wire from the boot.
It is very apparent on the spark plug porcilin.

05 chevy venture consuming 2 qts of oil every 500 miles. no visible smoke or oil puddles on the driveway. my van has only 90000 miles on it. the valve seals have been redone

To me that sounds pretty common with that many miles. With out changing piston rings also I wouldn't worry to much but make sure u change ur spark plugs as suggeste to avoid fouling.

2000 chevy venture doesnt start

check to make sure the security light is not on if it is the van will have spark but no injecter pulse the best way to solve this issue is to have the original igniton key and put it in the igniton in the run position and leave it on for 10 minutes then the light will flash then try to start the van
