Depends on how many tools you have. generally you are going to disable the horn and airbag, remove the airbag, remove the large nut, pull the steering wheel off with a puller, take out the clock spring, remove the swtich reinstall in reverse order

Find the fuse that relates to the brake lights and turn signals, then with a vault meter check both sides of the fuse for battery voltage and trace back from there.

Rear defrost on dodge durango not working


I'd check the most obvious culprits first. IE: a fuse, the rear defroster switch. If both of those are good use a continuity tester (included with most multi-meters) to ensure the heater elements on the glass aren't broken anywhere. (It should be a continuous grid with NO opens/gaps/breaks.)

sounds like this is a security problem ,Try this switch key on leave on 15 min.switch off then crank vehicle, the light should go off .or check manual.

No signal lights


there are two different relays for flasher and turn, I would check the turn signal relay, if seems good I would check the switch.

2000 Dodge Durango SLT 4wd - turn signal is intermittent. All turn signal lamps are OK... flasher unit is suspect. How do I remove and replace flasher unit?


these vehicles do not have flashers, it is the turn signal switch in the steering column it is called a multi-function switch!
That's where your problem is!!
