Question about 2004 Ford Expedition

1 Answer

I have 2004 expedition with front end noise. When you drive slow it sounds like you have a flat tire on front passanger side. At 70mph or above it has a really bad vibration. What could be the problem? Is it the wheel bearing? I have 500 miles left on my warranty. Please help.

Sounds like front wheel bearing or CV joint (constant velocity joint) - get it in before warranty runs out - they are not cheap!

Your best bet is to go to a place that specializes in front ends,no big chain company,we have one here, they will check the whole front end out,may already know cause they may have repair one like yours before, plus all vehicles have a history, best not to start replacing parts, can get costly if your not sure, they will give you a free estimate.

Helo.....Sounds like you may need to have your CV joint assembly checked out.The CV joint is equivalent to the old drive shaft and universal joint...Have the CV joint checked and let me know what happens...I hope this was helpful....PEACE....

Front end making rattling, thumping noise when driving. Slowing of speed increases the noise.

i would 1st check out the front tires to make sure that they are not defective, if tires check out ok, then i would put the jeep on a rack at a garage, and check out all of the front end components, including c. v. joints and the wheel bearings.
