Trust me it is quite an excercise and not worth doing yourself. With the proper tools, a hoist and a my mate who is a Guru Subaru Mech it took 4 hours. Without having done it before and without the Hoist ( which is wha I was going to do initially ) I'd say you wouldn't get much change out of 8 - 12 hours.

The thrust bearing is normally a part of a new clutch kit.Comprises pressure plate, clutch plate and thrust bearing. You will need to remove the gear box to change the bearing. The bearing basically slides onto the gearbox shaft. Recommend changing all three rather than just the beaing. You may want to get quotes from garages as dealers are expensive.

I do have the manual and there are several on eBay all the time for Festivas, because I check there often for Festiva parts. They are often sold for about $20-$25 for the complete manual. You might want to try that. I have the manuals for Festiva, but I don't have a scanner, but I do have a digital camera that I could use to photograph it. I don't know if I can get your email address so that I can send the photos of the pages to you. Let me know.

To change the rear light indicator bulbs in the Festiva, you need to remove the cover in the rear compartment area if its in your way and then reach in press the release tab to pull out the blub and wire unit and then turn the bulb 1/4 turn to remove the bulb and replace it with the new one and reassemble.
