Question about 2003 Ford Crown Victoria

1 Answer

Fuel pump went in to get repaired. Now that it is repaired there is no power in the car. Before the repair was made there was power. Now there is not. What could it be? Is it something with the computer or maybe a relay?

Just changed main relay on acura rl 3.5 2004 fuel pump still isnt kicking in ?

How do you know it is not kicking in. Have you done a fuel pressure test? get the Chilton or better yet the factory repair manual to your specific car and trouble shoot the fuel system. Two fuel pumps not working there is an issue with the power getting to the pump. Test for power. either a fuse or relay or safety switch is open. The repair guide will tell you. Chilton or Haynes cost $25 the factory $100 likely.

Air ride issue

Two completely separate and unrelated systems. I would have to say it would be impossible for the EAS height range to cause enough incline to overwork your fuel pump. Now if you were driving uphill for 5 months non-stop then i would say possible. A 2004 would be due for its first fuel pump replacement in my estimation. Around 80k miles would be about right.

The car ran out of gas one day so i put some in it and went to the store and put more in it then it drove fine till it got low then it started acting like it was out of gas sputtering and what i...

first replace the filter this is the least expensive repair..when u ran out of gas u may have sucked up (dirt) in the fuel tank.....if that doesnt work bring it to a service repair station an have a fuel pressure gauge hooked up to it....this willl tell u if the fuel pump is starting to fail...when u run low or out of gas the fuel pump can over heat an cause premature failure....u should never allow ur gas to go below a quarter of a tank since the fuel is what cools the fuel pump

Fuel pump went out. how do i replace it?

its inside the gas tank itself you have to drop the tank make sure the fuel pump relay is good first and the wires on top are the tank is good give these websites a try and if all fails stop by your local library and get your hands on a Haynes auto repair manual for your car wish you the best of luck Michigan Man.

Under the hood , left upper fender wall . black square box with screw knob in center, ECM B fuse controls Fuel Pump, Fuel Sender, Fuel Gauge... Also you can get a repair manual from Autozone or Oreily's , Chilton has them they are very informative...

I would start by checking you switch for the tanks to make sure it is working right and if the front tanks fuel pump does not work after you check the switch I would get a 12 volt electrical test light and see if your getting power to the front fuel pump if your getting power to it I would say you have a bad pump . But some times the pump will run but the diaphragm gets weak in them.
