Question about Ford Ranger
Though I cannot say for sure without a year/make/model I think this is probably an error with the airbag system. A sensor has malfunctioned, I believe 47 is for a seat sensor. As long as that light is flashing the system is OFF, meaning no airbags will deploy if you are in a crash. It may be something simple like the connector under the seat managed to get disconnected, or maybe a wire was pinched and cut, or maybe the component is faulty. I would take it to a shop or dealership and let them run a true inspection on it. The airbag system is not something you want to mess around with.
