Check all hose clamps and tighten them up.Do not do this until motor is cooled down and add coolant to level mark on holding tank.

First try & tighten hose clamps if loose. Refill radiator &/or overfill. Should have system pressure checked to determine what is leaking.

What does it mean when the check gage light come on and the oil pressure hand goes to the zero mark? I have a 2000 jeep grande cherokee limited with 124,000 miles.

Either the oil level is very low or the engine bearings have failed (assuming the gauge is accurate) if the engine isn't making noise and the level is full have a mechanical gauge installed to check actual pressure. if good, the sending unit or gauge is faulty.
If in doubt, do not drive or run the engine 'tll the problem has been diagnosed.

Oil gauge goes to zero when stopped or idle. No leaking, engine working good. Put oil in two days ago and again yesterday. Due for oil change in a couple of weeks. Light on dash board "check...

Possible that the OIL filter is clogged and is reducing the pressure due to this when the engine is idling or in low RPM. So before you run the engine further and make it more damaging , it is worth to have the engine oil / oil filter changed. If there is still no result, check the oil pressure switch. If not the oil pump can be faulty. This needs a technical help and should be consulted.

1995 jeep cherokee sport 4.0L. Oil gauge keeps sending false message ie. jumps from almost center past the highest point on the gauge. How do I fix this problem? where is the gauge sender located?

OIL PRESSURE SWITCH-I'm not sure if this is the gauge sender, though. 1995 Jeep Grand Cherokee 4WD 4.0L MFI 6cyl The Oil Pressure Switch is located: Under hood, passenger side, lower engine area, above oil pan, mounted in engine block.

My 2000 cherokee sport oil pressure gauge has moved all the way over. But vehicle runs fine?

All the way over to what? high or low? If the engine runs fine with no noises, likely the wire is off the sender, the sender has failed or the gauge is either disconnected in the dash or has gone bad.You can check the sender or replace it, or do some testing with a meter and an actual line pressure gauge to pinpoint the problem first.

Oil gauge won't stay up

It sounds like most likely its your Oil pump, if you have no pressure at stop and when you hit gas it sets the C/E light off, Guages in dash wont set off Check Engine Light. Replace Oil Pump.
